I hear you, sometimes it was midnight before we got to bed. And...my daughter is only ten years old,...on a school night? It was crazy, too hard to keep up with that.

Leaving the meeting early
by beautifulisfree inwhy is it that when ever you would leave the meetings any earlier then when they were all done...did you feel like everyone was watching you or even sometimes guilty?
sometimes, i would leave at 'halftime' (at the second song) either to go to work or just because i was having trouble dealing with the b.s.
and of course everyone was nosey and would ask my elder dad after the meetings where i went as though i was off to commit some horrible crime.

my story
by jaberwalkie inthis is a difficult thing for me to do, i used to be a jehovahs witness 20 years service as a pioneer.. last thursday it was announced from the platform at my local kingdom hall that i was disfellowshiped.. it was a bit of a shock.
i still have a deep sence of anger at what happened to me and its so unfair.. it started 3 years ago when i began to feel ill and i missed a couple of meetings.
the elders were wonderful and came round and cheered me up.

This is truly amazing,...though not the first time this has ever happened. Many of the people that are here, are here for the same reason, abuse by fellow Witnesses and/or elders. Jaberwalkie, to find the answer to your dilema, we must examine whether or not Jesus would approve of how you were treated. That would be the true test of Christianity would it not? Think about the kind and loving way Jesus dealt with people who were sick or dejected, now, did your friends and elders treat you the same way? If the answer is no, then there is a bit of thinking to be done on this subject. Even though we are imperfect humans, it is my feeling that "imperfection" is being used a crutch to make excuses for the actions taken by many. Please don't beat yourself up over this, we're here for you, what has happened to you, has happened to me and many, many more here on this forum. Please feel free to express your feelings here, in time, you will find that you will have made hundreds if not thousands of friends in this forum.

What will happen when all those older witnesses fall sick and eventually di
by JH inwhat will happen when all those older witnesses fall sick and eventually die?
i know so many in the congregation in their mid 70's and older.
many of these older ones are pillars in the congregation.. i was just wondering what effect it will have 5 to 10 years from now, when all these older ones will be too sick to attend meetings or dead.

He was smart and knew better. I did the same thing, never bought into the "you gotta be a pioneer your whole adult life" line of thought. Started making a good living right out of high school, glad I did. Doesn't mean I love Jehovah any less for it, or that he loves me any less for it. Just a personal decision. Cash is King, never forget it.

What Would You Like to be Written on Your Tombstone?
by Warlock insince i have a rather morbid sense of humor, and none of us is going to see armageddon................................ what would you like to be written on your tombstone?
i'll start.. "buried face down...........and you know the rest".
"his last word were..............boy, i'm getting hot!".

I've always thought this was a humorous subject, because what else can you do when you're about to die? Cry about it? I think not. So here's what I've always thought about it;
I'd like to die like Redd Foxx (a) So broke, I'll owe the funeral home for the bill (2) Owing the IRS a boatload of cash
OK, options for a tombstone; (a) Here lies a man who died with a smile, life was good to him. (b) I have an IRS levy for $400,000.00? (c) "Love your God Jehovah and Love your neighbor"

Have you installed your WT "Keeping Spiritually Clean" software?
by LovesDubs ini believe its coming.
big brother wt cant control the internet, they tried to shut down all anti jw sites, they threatened those who went to any sites that mentioned jw beliefs even if it was pro-jw....they dfd jws who published books or had sites about the organization even if they were pro-jw....they developed their own web sites to counter the flow...then came the jw dating sites, the jw chat rooms,...they cannot stem the flow!
so... they will develop software (spyware) that all "loyal" jws will have to have on their computers that will prevent them from going to any non-approved web sites containing any anti-jw information.

Here's a spin on this idea. What if we made that software and peddled it JW's for $50.00 a pop! Easy money! We could do mass mailings to all of the congregations we know. I'm serious here.
