  Evolution is Crap, there I said it!

  ok i started another thread and every one jumped on me because i was trying to take the theory of evolution out of the mix and most here seem to believe in it so i will just say it.

  the theory of major evolution is crap!

  the theory is falling apart.

  macro evolution, scientists do not explain things like , depth perception, balance, as just 2 examples. Most animals have 2 eyes for depth perception and most animals have 2 ears for balance and scientists again can not explain how completely stupid animals can develop these things when they don't even know balance and depth perception are.

  Scientists CAN and DO explain how evolution works. More than one person has pointed you toward books that give a good, conscise explanation of evolution that addresses and debunks all this nonsense. But you don't seem to want to learn, you just continue to perpetuate ignorance. Again, evolution is not a conscious process it is a process of natural selection. But, sadly, you didn't listen before and I doubt you will now.

  Why don't you do the human race a favor and go .... play with puppies and faeries in the nice-nice land of make believe where everthing is rainbows and butterflys and nobody ever hurts anybodys feelings ever.

  There is no "major" and "minor" evolution. What dolts who make this distinction don't grasp is that so-called "major" evolution is the same thing as so-called "minor" evolution, just over a longer time period.

  What is the motive for ordinary people who love science to engage in these ignorant discussions?

  Because I enjoy insulting and verbally abusing people who insist on being willfully ignorant.

  i was cheering wendy williams on when i saw her on et calling paula deen to the carpet for her use of racial slurs.

  i use to work for a woman that reminds me of paula deen.

  she was s caucasian woman her mid 60s and she was raised in georgia and she constantly would make racial jokes and do racial jestures in front of me.

  And to think, just last month, this older black couple in the congregation was asking me to help them find directions to "The Lady & Sons" (Paula's Atlanta restraunt), as they had company coming and wanted to take them there (even making a weekend trip of it).

  Wonder if they still want to go...

  In all fairness, that was less about the game itself and more about the (supposed) environment of arcades as well as the possibility of gaming addiction (which was and is still a real problem).

  Gerrit Loesch was at our DC today!

  so, unexpectedly, the final talk was announced today and to my surprise and evil glee, they announced gerrit loesch as the speaker!

  first off, at the beginning of his talk, he interrupted himself in the middle of his sentence to scold the microphone brother to lower my mike it's right in my face.. anyway, it was the talk on inspired truth, vs. inspired falsehoods.

  he went through 6 expressions inspired by the demons.

  Having a sexual attraction to children and acting on it are two very different things. Some folks have a genetic predisposition to alchoholism or other addictive behaviours, yet they can overcome it with tremendous willpower.

  cult members are property.. living property consisting of non-persons and non-individuals with disabled self-expression.. the tool used by this religion to control a member's desire to self-improve is attaching guilt as a stop-sign and crying: "disloyal.".

  like any owned property, you are under the total control of others.

  any wrong move, word or deed can label you a "danger" to the group-think.. there exists in such an authority structure only three possible stats you can achieve.. 1.compliant usefulness in carrying out assigned missions.

  The silly explanation given for the oppressive facial hair restrictions is that it prevents the JW from looking like a minister.

  The truth, of course, is that they just want their drones looking as "normal" as possible, so as to distrubte the most books.

  I read, I believe it was on here, that brothers in some scandanvian country were allowed beards, as people considered beardless men effeminate.

  Then, in my most recent pioussneer school, the brother was telling us how the way we do things in the US isn't universal (something to do with preconcieved notions and prejudices) - and mentioned that brothers among some native tribe or other were allowed long hair (even to the waist!), as among that tribe, cutting the hair meant that one had disgraced the tribe, and no one would talk to them.

  Obviously, the WTBT$ will do whatever it takes to keep the $$$ rolling in.

  Mustaches must be a variable thing. Several in my cong have them (myself included), including some MSs and Elders.

  Could depend on the style, too. Extremes like a Charlie Chaplin or a big ol' handlebar might get you a talking to.

  one of the most persistent myths on this website is that jws are already in decline, the rot has set in, and the descent of the watchtower is inevitable from here on in.

  unfortunately the facts do not bear this out.

  jws are still increasing even in most developing countries, and they are still growing worldwide at a faster rate than the general population.

  I think the amount of hours they have to spend to get a convert is the most telling. Some thing like 7500 hours and 32 bible studies to get one convert and that includes born ins.

  One of those rare occasions when I feel like quoting the Bible:

  Matthew 23:15 - "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves."
