  i'm so used to getting dumped myself, now the situation is reversed i'm not sure what to say.

  i don't want to do the chicken shit thing and ignore her.

  Honey, I'm afraid at this point there is no room for niceties. You've been polite, you've tried to be understanding.....it may be time to totally sever any contact with her. Tell her it's over, there will never be anything between you and please don't contact you again. And if you have to block her so be it.

  I know it's not pretty....but sometimes you just have to do what needs doin'.

  Double Standards?

  talk about a dysfunctional family life.... did anyone else experience growing up in a dub family that had a double standard for siblings?.

  my younger sister was allowed too: have new kids on the block posters on her wall, as well as gotten taken to a nkotb concert... have & play a keyboard.

  pick her own music, & have a boom box in her room.

  That's just crappy, Mike. And totally unfair to the point that it was actually abusive.

  But yes there are definitely double standards. My younger brother could do no wrong and I was always in trouble. And the expectations put on me were always higher than for him. I also spent most of my adolescence and teenage years on restriction. In fact I think I still may be on restriction.

  And guess who gets to take care of the folks when they get old?

  Update on my dad's health

  a few weeks ago, i told you guys that my dad was diagnosed with intestinal cancer.

  well, he went to the hospital monday for an operation.

  prior to the operation, with scans and x rays of all types, they saw that he had a tumor on his liver as well as on his lungs.
