  JWN's Night Shift vs Day Shift

  i'm sure i'm the very last person to notice the day shift / night shift groups of posters but i kinda think it's funny when i pop in on an evening and discover posters i've never seen, but who have 10,000 posts.. that's all.

  I was wondering how you were going Brin. Were you affected by the cyclone? You're in Darwin so I guess that's a silly question, but hope you're OK.

  what would you do if your 19 year old son announced to everyone on his fb list that he was engaged to be married, and this is the first you ever heard of it?.

  how about if that same spawn told his fiance, who you've never met or talked to, that his whole family is dead and that you are not his real mother (or father)?

  also, what if she told you through pms on fb one by one what he was claiming, and you explained each one in detail, and she didn't believe you?.

  could i walk into a K/Hall and get literature?

  just wondering!.

  i know many would say ''why the hell would you do that?".

  just wondering if i could actually get hard copies of some stuff for a 'donation' and not have to hunt it down.... mind you, i'd have a hard time making myself look conservative!.

  I think you could do that. Preferably it would be a congregation where no-one knows you. You'd walk in, go to the literature counter and simply tell them what you would like.

  You're not going to pretend to be a JW are you, so no need to dress up.

  Someone will approach you and want to know who you are - just say you've been reading about JWs on the internet and you want to see for yourself what it's all about.

  By the way, do you have the WT Library on CD?

  so oompa got df'd this week...

  no call to invite me to a committee meeting...no notification of deciding i should be df'd....no telling my jw wife of the announcement...not a chance to appeal what i did not even know what was going on...my mini-serve son is devasted....he even researched it....told me to go to page 153-154 of the od book...never heard of it but it is a green hardback given to all who are to be baptized.

  wow...the elders broke every rule in this book as to my case.... i have no respect for these men that can take away your jw family without even telling you they are going to.

  my jw son has now begged me to meet with my committee...even though there is prob zero chance they can reverse the decision...that chance is from when they let you know...and you have to appeal by letter within 7 days (i cant make this stuff up!!

  Make a Wish in Australia is an organisation that grants a wish to children with life threatening illnesses.

  Is that the case with this young boy? He's very ill and his wish was to go to Bethel?

  2009 case of interest of course to those undergoing or about to undergo custody disputes.. basics are that non jw wife was awarded full custody and esp in medical matters (blood came up) .

  that some limitations were placed on jw father in regards to involving a child.

  Yeah, I know people think it's a bit boring down here in SA but we do have lovely, safe, unpolluted beaches and a beautiful coastline.

  I love the outback, The Flinders, the small country towns...

  Is that boring? Maybe for some.
