  Got the Flu i think

  the past couple of days, my eyes seem a bit watery and feel strained, my nose and everything else is blocked up with snotty stuff and i got a sore throat .

  also can i add that food tastes rubbish.

  sympathy and ideas here lol..

  the movie "gladiator".

  what a great movie.

  i have watched it a 100 times and could 100 more.. "what we do in life, echoes in eternity".

  2 elders over

  i just had 2 elders come over this morning.

  2 witness ladies offered me the latest mags as i walked down my driveway.

  (they really dont put as much effort into their presentations as before) anyways i took the mags and gave them 2 bucks and my phone number.

  SAW III - A review of the movie

  unfortunately i can only review the first 5 or 10 minutes of the show as a result of the fact that i got seriously nauseous twice in that time period resulting in my having to walk out.

  simply put, that show is seriously f. i've never been a big fan of horror movies because the plot lines and acting have traditionally been of extraordinary poor quality.

  the main characters always make some seriously stupid decision and end up being killed by... whatever.

  Just saw the new JW video

  i went to a friends house today and he knows someone from bethel and so he got the video early, and i got the privilage of watching it.. not much to report realy, it's very similar to old video, about the workings of bethel.

  however this time they were all dressed nicer.

  they mentioned the governing body, but didn't bother saying that they are supposedly 'spirit annointed', i don't recall them even mentioning the name 'jesus' and of course they all had those fake smiles.

  With my JW family members

  spent a few days w. cousin and 12 year old daughter, both jw's, no others in family.

  many of us on a short.

  trip together, it was fun.

  Let's just get something straight about 1975.

  nobody ever said that the end was coming in 1975.. all the hype about this date that has continued all the way down through today came from a talk in the early 70's by fred franz.

  in this talk, franz pointed out the significance of the 7 creative days and how they correspond with 1,000-year time intervals.. he then said, "could the end come in 1975?

  there's so much wrong with jehovah's witnesses from their rigid legalism to their faux love, but let's call a spade a spade about the 1975 thing..

  i went to a ex-jw's potluck the other day and it will be my last time going.

  there were about 20 ex-jw's there just bashing the watchtower society for 2 hours.

  i had all i could take and left.

  Your self esteem dubs and how to boost it?

  how was your self esteem during your jw days, did the dubs do things that elevated or lowered it?

  what things boost it now that you are outside the org?

  as a dub i didn't like the lack of cordiality, it was a society that was socially impenetrable and that made me feel unwanted, something that undermined my sense of self esteem.
