i know we've heard a lot of horror stories about jcs and getting disfellowshipped.........................but what is your experiences of continuing going to the meetings to be reinstated.............what did it really feel like?.

did you mind being ignored or did you understand it and take it on the chin?.................................what were your familys treatment of you during the period of having to sit on the back row????.

when i saw ppl comming in late and leaving early .....................i just knew it was wrong, wrong , wrong to treat ppl that way.. in fact i got told off for smiling at a sister who i knew genuinly wanted to come back,( the pos wife told me ) i did it out of human feelings and was then blasted.. after she got reinstated, i was the first person she came upto and introduced herself.

When I was trying to get reinstated I had it timed exactly when I would arrive, right after song had started, and go straight to the farthest row back I could. We had a semi-circle style seating, so I had to endure eyes on me all meeting long. Thank goodnees when I had my daughter and I could sit most of the time in the little nursing room. Then I packed up all my belongings as the last song played and held them, during prayer so I could jet as soon as they said Amen. It was horrible when, on Sundays, I had morning bookstudy then had to wait 30 minutes in the parking lot for Sunday Meeting while all the other attendees ate lunch together inside or were visiting outside, and they would see you waiting in the car and just stare. What is with staring at DF people anyway???

first in april - i get a call from two elder's trying to set up a meeting i assume [ i told them not interested in speaking to them and hung up ] some may recall that thread.. then last month - two more show up at the house, and wifey ignores them at the door.

[i am at work].

tonight - 'brother t' calls on the phone and asks for me.

i always wondered how they had the balls to do it.

and especially if they seemed happy with no remorse, and were able to celebrate holidays and live "normal" lives.

i remember wishing, in my early twenties, that i had the strength to do that.

Elders son is GAY!!!

just looked up my old high school in classmates.com, i saw this dude who was a couple years older than me, didn't really know him but i knew his brother (who left the org the same time i did), his dad kicked him out of the house and he lived in his car, they are sons of one of the elders (assholes) who df'd my dad.

the good son was a good little jw that did everything a jw father (elder) would want his son to do, on his bio on classmates.com he says that he is gay, ha ha ha ha.

We had this REALLY JW family, daughter a pioneer , married to a elders son who was a MS, the other son was a regular pioneer and sometimes bethelite, other son gave little talks at age 10, all that good stuff. Then, out of NOWHERE, the sometimes bethelite/pioneer came out, got df, left and neer saw him again. And the parents acted like they lost him to death, Then, a few years later the younger boy got a girl pregnant and left. I think the daughter is still miss perfect.

Is the first year really the hardest?????

i have been married a year and a half, and everyone says the first year is the hardest.

well, the crappyness seems to be creeping right on into the second year.

i thought it was suppossed to get easier each year.

He is 29, and YES he is a Mama's boy. Runs to her for everything and then pretty soon I get a phone call from her....She has done everything for him sice the day he was born. He has never had to take responsibility for himself becasue she will. If he, God Forbid, has to work more than 40 hours a week, I sure enough, get a phone call about it, as if its my fault. Or, if I ask him to do stuff around the house, she will call and remark about how hard he has been working and he is so tired and his poor back etc....

But I also think he is INCREDIBLY selfish (uh-oh, now Ive started venting). He always has his comfort in the fore front of his mind, and everybody else is a distant second. I find that very difficult to live with, because we have a duaghter and another on the way, and this family is my absolute life. My daughter is always my first concern, and I don't understand putting yourself ahead of your kids. Is that a Mom thing???

I really just want him to step up to the plate, be a man, all that stuff. Don't know what it is going to take.....

I remember one time we were at a Dub graduation party and they were playing on INXS song and it said " I need you tonight" and an elder immediatly walked up to the kids playing the music and made them turn it off becasue it said that...not disco I know, but thought Id share
