PLEASE HELP ME!

my husband and i for the first time had an honest discussion regarding jw doctrines, he believes in the flawlessness of the society, so he is not easy to talk to.

he did agree however that if 607 is not correct that the society has it all wrong.

well to say the least that was an interesting turn of events.

Yes it is true I am becomind less UNCLEAR, when I did the math on 607 BCE it hit me like of bricks, I have been having doubts for a while but put them aside reasoning that Jehovah will take care of matters in his time as all witnesses do.

I think slowing down and not pushing my spouse is probably the best things for me right now just to relax and do lots of reading I don't have to make a decision today, it's just so hard to pretend and go to meeting. Tonight I just wanted to stand up and scream.

The biggest problem I have is he will not take in evidence anything quoted, I will actually either have to get scanned documents or the real thing....he is a die hard believer so this is the only proof he will accept.

Does anyone know if there are scanned copies of the prediction of 1914 being actual Armagedon, or anyone I can contact. He is determined to prove me wrong and will only use the society's literature everything secular or quoted is apostate...OHHH PLEASE! Like the whole world is lieing!

I am also going to pick up A.K. Grayson's book Assyrian and Babylonian Chronicles at the library today, since the society quotes from this source in the Insight book they obviously view this as authority regarding the 607 doctrine.

Also are there anyother books the society MISQUOTES as regards to doctrines?

He did agree however that if 607 is not correct that the society has it all wrong. Well to say the least that was an interesting turn of events. He also stated that the society has never said in black and white that the end was coming on any date and the society as always pointed to 1914 as Jesus presence.

So here is what I need:

I need either scaned copies or ones that I can buy stating anydates the society said Armagedon is coming.

I would also like any information I could get on the UN Scandal, as far as scans or a number which I could call the verify for him the situation.

PS. I can't spend much time on the internet, he is suspicious right now

Faithful and Discreet Slave........When they die?

the faithful and discreet slave will pass away soon, at least the member of the gb, the only ones left will be the newly appointed other sheep.

how will the society explain the fact that we are not being led by the faithful and discreet slave anymore and since they give us the "food at the proper time", how ill we be able to get that from the other sheep?

any thoughts?

i don't want to go but i must because my husband has to make a good showing, hey i think i will make a gorcery list and write a letter.

i still don't know if being on the board is the right thing in jehovah's eyes, but i do appreciate the opportunity to learn about the organization and it will be my first time back to meeting after doing quite a bit of research....hmmm we will see.

To all Active JW's on the board

as you are all aware i am new to the board, this is my third topic post.

since i have come online and expressed some concerns regarding docturnal issues, i have been pm'd by several active jw's on the board pretending to have concerns also but then sending pm's to "trust in the congregation and jevovah", "talk to the elders about your concerns" and "stick close to the congregation".

i would like to make this known loud and clear -

Thank you for sharing your story, I did not have much of a question just wanted to get a few things off my chest, which as you know a JW is not allowed to do in any type of form. I am still active but obviously have my doubts and could not stay silent. I need to be able to express myself freely to get answers I needed. I am unclear (hence the name) on what the future holds, but for now I am on the preverbial fence.

But since the society says there is no fence, I am just floundering on the ground with rotten apples at my side:))))))))))))))))))))))

Emily Hawes was a sister the one of the Vancouver Washington Congregations she was an old friend of mine that decided, as far as I know to leave the organization, I would LOVE to contact her again.

If anyone knows her please let me know. I am uncomfortable letting my full name be known but if I can contact her she will know who I am.
