i found this letter on dave reekie's blog and asked him if i could write a piece about it.

i am glad that he accepted.. it's so rare to find a real, authentic handwritten letter from a jehovah's witness parent to their disfellowshipped child, so we hope you can read it and show it to any apologists that claim the watchtower society doesn't condone shunning.. you can read the article here.. .

what I am about to say to you is not influenced by any other living person, but is purely directed by my conscience and a desire to regain my peaceful friendship with God. Nobody can make me do anything I don’t want to do.

If what she's about to say isn't influenced by any other person, where did she get the idea of shunning her son? She didn't dream up the doctrine, did she?

Of course nobody can make her do anything she doesn't want to do...that is the point....they hammer it into you head that it is what you want and that the decision is from your own conscience.

I have hired 2 more employees this week that are DF'd to go with my several jw employees...i am giving an amazing witness!!

i had two new positions open up out of the blue recently and as luck would have it...for some reason i know a helluva lotta ex-jws lol!

especially with two young and popular dfd sons who also hang with a lot of ex dubs...but that maybe is another thread....we are drawn to those with similarities very often and being an exjw is a pretty small club....and we left a true brotherhood to many and a network for sure to everyone else.

so at work none of the non jws care for the jws and some have asked them to stop giving them paper crap and leave them alone...when one of them acted pissed that i had told some of the guys he would not ride with me to a jobsite lmao....of course they thought a new level of insanity had overtaken one of my normally great employees...so i told her "why would i not mention that to the shop guy/friends...im not ashamed of anything???".

Glad to hear that you are excited about your business and well, living! The WTS would like nothing better than for your business, your health and your family to fail if you leave their organization. We have one shot at life, and can't let them take any more away from us. A life well lived is the best revenge! Glad you are getting back into the game!

it took me a long time to write this....i'm being brutally honest...i am still a reg pioneer...three sundays ago,i was praying and asking god for a sign or something because i was so confused...i told him exactly what i needed to see for me to believe.i was feeling terrible--crying and feeling sick because i was so confused.ten minutes after, i walked into the kingdom hall and to my surprise--my prayer was answered!

i soooo wasn't expecting it, even though i prayed.

so this is where almighty god wants me to be,ii've reasoned.

Ooops, you might want to think that through since the brothers have "done the research for you." You seem to have a tendency toward "independent thinking" and you know what that leads to....APOSTACY!

JW Study - OUT!!

a few months ago, i posted about a study who was getting baptised this summer at the upcoming dc.. we discussed a few things on fb.

i showed him evidence that the watchtower does not have the truth.

the last i heard was that he had gone to the elder's with the information i had given him.. i haven't heard from him since.. however, yesterday he contacted a jw, elder's son on fb.

Unfortunately, I cannot get answers to the things he has put to me.

How fortunate for him that he asked the questions before baptism, and not after when it would be too late! I am sure he was devastated, heck, we all were when we found out obout the real truth, but at least he didn't stick a toe in the water!

Congratulations! Just relax and enjoy this time. You have plenty of time to think about holidays, etc.

I will offer one opinion, even if I risk sounding old fashioned. You will protect yourself and the baby legally if you get married first. I know that you could not imagine any problems in the future, but I have lived sixty years, and seen and read many times things that I wouldn't have thought possible.

Watchtower sends Cease and Desist order on SPARLOCK items!

just got notice that all sparlock t-shirts, cups, bags, etc.

will be pulled from my shop.

watchtower corp. has filed a complaint to cafepress on all sparlock items.

I don't get it. Didn't the WTS throw the character in the trash bin? Now they want to keep it? What kind of a mixed message is that giving?

At least don't put all your goals on hold. I spent over thirty years in the organization, humbly doing everything I could to be a good JW. I worked at menial jobs, wishing I could get an education, but as hubby was an elder, he said it would not be a good example to the congregation. I decided when my daughter was growing up, though, that she would not work and struggle like I did. She is a small, delicate person, and sooo smart. I told her that she would get an education. She could never last as a house cleaner, or waitress, etc. She got a college degree in Biology, and works in a lab.I am almost through with my college degree, although at sixty years old I hardly expect to find a new and exciting career.

Don't look back on your life years from now, wondering what if. You are in charge and can make things happen. Why must a person who wants to serve God be ignorant? Have you asked yourself that?

Please keep an open mind.

this really means a lot to her.

she wants you to know that she is coping well with all the stress and excitement, even though she's had years of anger and frustration because of being abused for so long, first by the molester, and then by the wt.

Isn't there a scripture that says that things done in darkness will come out in the light? Their policies of protection of paedophiles will now be paraded out for all to see!
