An apology from a JW................................
by BLISSISIGNORANCE in...................who was a witness at my judicial comm.
any of you that know me also know i was df'ed because an elder had an outcome in mind, and that was to keep me quiet about a pedophile in the congregation.
he was partly able to do that by using a sister (friend of mine and also another elder's daughter, who was on my jc)by getting her to incorrectly quote me as slandering the pedo's ms brother to her.

~ ~ ~ revenge is a dish best served cold ~ ~ ~
by chickpea inshe spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases.
on the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things.
on the third day, she sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight, put on some soft background music and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar and a bottle of chardonnay.

The World's Largest Swimming Pool - WOW!
by AK - Jeff inhttp://www.victory-cruises.com/pool.html.
it is more than 1,000 yards long, covers 20 acres, has a 115-foot deep end, and holds 66 million gallons of water: this one took five years to build, cost nearly 1 billion, and the annual maintenance bill will be 2 million.. .

Beth Sarim Revisited 4 Newbies
by Farkel inat 4440 braeburn road, san diego, ca., in the rich and prestigious neighborhood of the kensington heights neighborhood sits one of the biggest embarrassments in the long and continuing list of embarrassments the watchtower society has created for itself.. most dubs know nothing about it, and if it wasnt for a few brief comments about it in the proclaimers book in 1993, even fewer dubs would know anything at all about it.. it is the home once known as beth-sarim (pronounced beth-sareeeem), the house of the princes.. it is a house with a history the society has shown by its historical lack of candor, hopes everyone would forget.
in fact, the society has done just about everything it could do to ensure that its history will be forgotten.
in the first book devoted to discussing the history of jehovahs witnesses, this house and its history is not even mentioned.

I'm stoked not to go... I think the last assembly I went to one was at the astrodome in houston and I snuck in some of the towers ( I think there were 4?) with some of my friends and we smoked (no, I don't do it anymore - was just stupid and a teenager!!) and we looked longingly at the rides at 6 flags and just talked about boys the whole time. lol Not sure how we pulled that off since it wasn't encouraged to sit with anyone but your parents but we did.

Faders: When You Left, did Anyone Give a Damn?
by shamus100 init seems funny to hear how some get love bombed, others get left alone when they fade.
i moved and told nobody - by the time they figured i was 'weak', it was too late - i was gone.
so honestly, what was it like for you when you left the 'organization'?

It was easy for me -- my family still mentions that the end is near but never asks me to a meeting. My mom's hall was just remodeled though - might have to check it out and see if it meets certain legal requirments regarding accessibility (it used to not).
