sometimes, it's nice to get a reminder that there are people out there who are crazier than my parents.

this was one of those times.. this morning, i was brushing my teeth when the phone rang.

now, when someone phones at 6:45am, it's usually pretty important.

Drop Dead Gorgeous!

back when i was attending kingdom halls, our circuit had a lot of 'drop dead gorgeous' women, many whom were married to the geekiest looking guys.

i always asked myself, "how did these 'dorks' do it"!.

was this because selection was limited, or was this just a peculiarity in our area?

My wife is drop dead gorgeous, she looks like a famous musician, so that makes me an ugly geeky bloke. But I'm not.

My wife told me that if she's was going to be happy in a marriage they had to fit this criteria;

1. Have to be good looking. Since she had to have sex with this guy for life.

2. Be able to make her laugh like her father does.

3. Be quite adventurous.

4. Have a strong believe in God, but not over the top like most geeky brothers.

5. Interesting.

6. Talkative. Helps in a marriage.

7. I can't remember the rest she's not at home at the moment.

Both of us knew what we wanted in a partner, plus having the qualties listed above has helped our marriage, particularly when we when through a rough patch two months ago. I can tell you stories why it has helped, but that's for another time.

Its Over

there are some of you that know this already but for those that dont and that are interested to know i decided a few weeks ago to end what was a relatively short relationship with and marriage to, elaine.

i dont take these decisions lightly and the last few months have silently been hell whilst i try to get a grip on my thoughts and feelings and the decisions ahead; when two people are simply too fundamentally different and do not provide for each other in the way that they should, in my view not a lot can be done and this is the situation i found and find myself in.. i know a few of you might have met elaine and for those that have i dont wish for you to think any ill of her.

i dont apportion any real blame other than on us both for the breakdown; shes still the same person you met and has some fantastic qualities.

Do you believe Jesus was married?

this is related to my question in "entertainment" regarding "the da vinci code".

in the book and the movie, it is claimed that jesus was actually married to mary magdelene, and that they had a child, descendants of whom survive even at the present time.

so, my question is: do you think any of this is true, could possibly be true, or is just plain wrong?

but nothing is "normal" in this world.

Sometimes particularly at night, I find that I struggle sleeping thinking about all the things myself and others have suffered because of the wts. I find that I have to watch humorous comedy like The Young Ones and Bottom, which I forbidden myself to watch. just to remember what sort of warped humour and fun I had in my life before becoming a dud. It has helped along with JWD.
