  Inconsistency in Placing Blame?

  i was just reading something about the story in genesis about the angels leaving heaven to mate with earthly women.

  does anyone else find it peculiar that the watchtower places no blame on the women?

  in the wt world, it is always the less powerful who bears the primary burden of guilt except in this one case.. for example, didn't someone post a wt form which asks an applicant about pedophile practices and then asks if the child did anything to provoke the assault?

  Secondly, if they really were angels then God has some serious problems with how He creates spirit beings and boundery issues. To me the story couldn't possibly be true because I am not sexually attracted to insects and yet I am from birth just an imperfect sinner living in the same physical realm as the insects. Since I have no interest in "getting it on" with insects I can't imagine how spirit beings (angels) second only to God, who is said to have created the Universe, would be attracted to smelly ape-like humans from another realm of reality in the first place. Sure, I was programmed to be sexually attracted to females of my own kind and stink. I think human females of breeding age look great but male ants think the same thing of the hormone spurting huge quivery white queen ants ten times the males size. Not to mention just how a "spirit being" angel could have any sexual feelings at all since they are asexual and made up of spirit? The whole concept is absolute nonsense and sounds like a myth or legend created by human beings and not a revelation from God

  Amen, even as a little kid, I couldn't figure out why Jah made the angels "without gender", but horny.

  Sinning against the Holy Spirit - Unforgivable? How does one commit it?

  i seem to remember a doctrine that says that the only sin that is unforgivable is a sin against the holy spirit.

  is apostasy a sin against the holy spirit?

  They're now saying Jesus meant that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is UNFORGIVABLE, UNLESS you're sorry about it? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the key word, UNFORGIVABLE?

  You right MJ, isn't that exactly the same as how regular sinning works?

  Elders really can keep personal matters confidential, right?

  less than one week after meeting with two elders who had been told of my visiting this site, a good friend called me.

  he said his mother (age 73), in a different city from me, called him and told him she heard i was now an apostate.

  now how the hell did that happen?

  Not every elder is like that, only the insecure ones.

  This is true, some can keep there mouths shut.

  But when you have three elders on a JC, and mutliple brothers in a BOE, there is just no way they will all keep there mouths shut. All you need is one or two big mouths, and every BOE has at least one, usually more.

  I had several elders in my family, spread over three local congragations, I heard all the juicy gossip. Sometimes straight from an elders mouth but usually they told my hubby and he told me.

  The society is very sexist, they like to promote the sterotype that all women are gossips. It alwasy appeared to me that the elders had that monopoly.

  Swiffers Do you use one?

  i have one and use it for both wet and dry.

  it gets pricey since you have to keep buying the cloths.. a couple of weeks ago i was in sears and they were having a demonstration of a swiffer type mop but you didn't have to throw awy the cloths.

  simply remove from the cloth and throw it in the washer.

  on weekends i am the conductor on a first class dinner train.

  in addition to my conductor duties i walk through the train and schmooze with folks.

  couple of weeks ago there was a party of four, man and woman in their mid thirties with a three year old girl and a mid fifties age man.

  Turns out the younger man was the womans brother.

  When my bro is in town, him and I and my toddler do a lot of activities together. Everywhere we go, people just assume we are a couple and that he is my little girls Dad.

  I'm bet that couple wasn't offended either, I'm sure it happens all the time.

  I would like an apology for never taking resposibilty for their own lives. I think my parents were just holding their breath until the new system came along to solve everything.

  I would also like an apology from my mom for choosing my abusing stepdad over me. But to be fair, the elders told her she did not have grounds for divorce, and she must stay with her husband.

  I hate those effin goddam elders.
