  Got My Medical Marijuana Card Today....

  Each state will only recognize their own cards.

  But certainly not all children who are not 'protected" get sexually abused.

  Well no, not everyone, I'm sure some would get out OK.

  But tell me, if you leave your 8 year old daughter alone with a bunch of strangers on a regular basis, do you think she has a good chance of growing up without ever being taken advantage of?

  And if people knew that you didn't look after your daughter and they saw other people take advantage of her, don't you thingk that would bring all the pervs out of the woodwork?

  By neglecting her you make her an easy target, and that snowballs into more and more abuse.

  Minimus, children get victimized when thay are not protected, period.

  Guess what would happen if you didn't protect your kids? All sorts of awful stuff.

  I was not protected either, and though the leval of abuse that I went though does not seem to be near the scale of what LL lived though, I can easily top her number of abusers, if I count everyone who touched me in a sexual manner or exposed themselves to me before I was even a teenager.

  It's not about what kind of person the kid is, it's about whether that kid is protected or not.

  I don't think magnet is an accurate term. i think its more a of a situation that LL had the great misfortune to be born into a highly dysfunctional environment. And of course, the youngest, smallest, most vulnerable are the ones that are going to get victimized.

  You question insinuates that LL was in a normal environment and somehow attracted or drew that sort of attention to herself, and so therefore she would be the source of the problem…………I bet you didn’t mean that.

  I broke my collar bone

  it turns out that my biking accident on july 6th resulted in a broken collar bone.

  i didn't know this until the va took x-rays yesterday - it took until then to get an appointment; my request for x-rays was submitted on july 16. fortunately, i've been mending nicely despite my 300 mile bike ride the last week of july and a 120 mile ride two weeks later.

  i still haven't had a decent night's sleep since it happened - i'm exhausted..

  Why are some treated so kindly and others so badly in the JW world?

  ok i am still in good standing in the jw world for whatever reason i still do not understand.

  i get shunned and then i get love bombed by others?

  it is all very confusing.. ok so i was talking to this sister a couple of days ago and i have known her forever she is a very nice person.

  It depends on who you are, and/or who you know.

  A new, young, attractive, rich couple came into our hall, they were the studies of one of the elders. he had some kind of minor set back, it was annouced from the stage and their was a huge out puoring of love and care for them.

  The same week another couple in our hall with several small children, had another child that had serious complications at birth and it was real touch and go wether he would survive or not. Dad was not an elder or MS, he was a very active father instead.

  There was no announcement from the stage, and no outpouring of aid and support for them, the congo hardly noticed. I tried to get a few of the sisters together to prepare meals for this family, but was turned down by every sister I asked, including every elders wife in our hall. I was stunned.

  I also witnessed, countless times, some sisters receiving multiple wedding showers and baby showers, while other sisters were completely ignored, when they married or gave birth.

  An elderly sister in our hall got cancer, she had a long drawn out battle. Again I tried to organize a few sisters to provide meals and house cleaning, every sister I asked refused. I went to this sisters home many times, bringing meals, house cleaning, I never once saw another JW assisting them. It was heartbreaking.

  All these incidents were eye openers for me.

  one thing that i have read over and over is to find something positive in my upbrining as a jw and i have been unable to do this.

  all i have seen is negative.
