  A polite way to ask someone to keep their hands to themselves...

  what's a polite way to ask a man to keep his hands to himself while conversing in a group with you?.

  this neighbor of mine and i were sitting in chairs on the deck with other people.. he always touched me whenever he said anything to me or i said anything to him.. it was as if he was using touch like an antenna to send and receive signals.. i didn't know what to do, so instead of risking embarrassment for us both, i did nothing but stand up and step away.. i stepped away after he attempted to caress my hamstrings on one leg.. *shudder*.

  wonder why 60+ year old men think that a woman being nice to him means she's hot for him.. also wonders why it's only the smoking, beer guzzling, scrawny, bony, and smelly old men who do that.. .

  many women struggle with this issue, especially those of us who were taught to be 'nice' at the expense of our own personhood. It's a VALID QUESTION.

  I agree, us females that were rasied to be meek and submissive can have a very hard time standing up for ourselves.

  It's easy to make excuses, "hes just being nice" "hes a touchy feelie type person" "he didnt mean anything by it" "he thinks of you like a daughter" etc.

  In the last hall i was in there was a touchy feelie brother that had all the sisters upset. Do you think any of them told him to keep his hands off? No, of course not, sisters dont tell brothers what to do. They either complained to their husbands or to the elders and the elders had to tell him to stop it.

  How effed up is that? Grown women did not feel they had the right to tell this guy "hands off" Talk about dysfunctional!

  Logic problem set by school for my 6 year old

  3 children collect 4 different shells on the beach.

  (4 shells in total, not 4 shells per child) each child has a bucket.

  I would imagine this is an exercise in logic and not an actually math question.

  My 6YO is doing quite average in first grade and they have not gone beyond one digit addition and substraction.

  i read about these on a science blog, in which it was claimed that someone demonstrated how to move extremely heavy stone with them.. metatron.

  I just saw a show on them the other night.

  They believe they used them like ball bearings. On this show they built tracks out of wood and then put the stone balls in grooves on the tracks, then just rolled the heavy stuff right over the top.

  They tested and showed that this mehtod was effective enough to move the big stones at stonehinge.

  why do they use the expression marriage mate?.

  They just like to use the word "marraige" a lot.

  It makes them feel more richeous.

  Marriage is a word found in the bible, "spouse" is not.
