You'd have to ask yourself WHY would modern day JW's be offended? WHY WHY WHY??? It is an acceptable look all over the world. If people are offended by it, THEY are the ones with the problem, as their taking offense is not sound or based upon the bible. Good points also, badwillie.
legal suggestion when facing elders .
there have been a number of posts stating that the elders have called and requested a meeting.
i guess that either there is a full moon out, or the society has been putting the bug up the elder's rectal orfice to chase down less than active jws.

that depends on how the meetings are arranged, anewperson. Alot of congregations in my area have their service meeting on tuesdays, which is when the df'ings are announced.
sometimes, i try to be sad.. as the sun sets low, turning the rugged hills of arizona into soft, purple, fuzzy-looking rumpled cones, dappled in the red-orange reflections of failing sunlight, i stand upon a hill.
i try to reflect on what could have been.. i could have been part of a family that was close -- a family that hugged, laughed and cried together, always.
a family that strove not to take everything personally, but to see that even our attacks, especially our attacks, are projections of our own insecurities.

i am looking for some assistance or resources on anger mangement.. i have known the truth about the truth for about a year now.. due to reasons of family i don't beleive i can make a 100% break at this time.. i seem to have a major problem getting past the anger.
i am not an angry person by nature and in the past when i have gotten angry it never lasted very long.. at times i feel that the reason i can't get past the anger is because i have not made a complete break.
i don't know if this is true since i see many here who have made the break and the anger persists.. if there is anyone here who has experienced this and has found a way to move past the intense feelings of anger without completly breaking from the borg due to family reasons and can offer some advice i would welcome it.. is it possible to get past the anger with one foot still in?

i would think that a bible study would involve studying the bible, but it seems JW's believe that the bible is a reference book for the WTS's publications. Do you mean a free WTS publication study, verified by the JW's New World Translation w/ an average of 1 to 3 scriptures a paragraph? that would be more accurate NYASSHOLE

thanks for all of the kind words....i hope i put a stop to it early...good thing i'm paranoid about my money and I check my account every morning over a cup of coffee. My wife makes fun of me for it, but this time it may have saved us some aggravation.

my wife has been depressed each time we see our jw friends.
she doesn't want to see them anymore, because it reminds her of what she left behind, and it makes her feel bad.. i've offered to go back to meetings for a while to help her break away.
she never wants to go back, but her guilt and anger make her so uncomfortable around active jw's.....it's really bothering her.. any good books out there on breaking away from controlling organizations, especially concentrating on keeping the friendships but not the allegiance to the organization in question?
i would think that keeping your JW friends would just confuse you and your wife. We are quitting in 2 weeks and the only people from our JW lives we are keeping in contact with are people who know where we stand and are OK with it. Which isn't very many.
