  UNITED NATIONS CHARTER read in all congregations at beginning of SPECIAL TALK

  then 1 thessalonians 5 read about 'peace and security'.

  the speakers instructed not to embellish the statements.. 'noble sentiments' was mentioned about the un charter but no criticism.. followed by the need for god's kingdom.. it sounded more like an advert for the un to me.

  did anyone else hear it?

  i heard more or less the same talk and given the same subject hundreds of times.

  Never got a response back.

  Getting into Arguments with JW's...

  i'm trying to fade away, but i sometimes find myself in discussions or arguments with jw family/friends/white haired virgin elders.

  now, i usually have them beat on things but i'm not very experienced, so i was thinking if you guys could help me put together a list of completely unanswerable questions to pose to my jw friends/family/elders so they can stop bugging me.

  if i keep asking them questions they simply cannot answer, then they might leave them alone.

  Ask them how come Jesus or any of the apostles used God's name The watchtower inserted it 200+ times

  and remind them about what Revelation says about not adding to or take away from the Bible.

  Also let them show you from the bible where does it say in the Greek scriptures that there are 2 hopes for Christians...

  great crowd for the earth and 144k in heaven!

  how long do you think it will take before the wts is exposed for what it really is?.

  i sort of thought the whole 1914 thing would blow the lid off this thing.

  it's obvious they wormed their way out of another one.. do you think there will ever be a grand climax and jws will just start leaving in record numbers?

  It's here to stay and they can change their doctrines as often as they want and the rank and file will

  continue to put faith in GB and beleive that it's still the only true religion because they don't believe in hell, living on earth andthe only one using God's personal name.

  I tried to talk to JW's today and they ran away.

  i spotted them out in fs on my block as i turned into my driveway, so i waited for them to come around to my side of the street.

  they were in a huddle, 2 sisters and 2 brothers- the brothers had a young boy around 6 with them to get sympathy.

  i had my 1924 wt book, the way to paradise, in hand and approached them.

  Good job Moshe, but in my case everytime time i deal with witnesses (thru my line of work) never tell them i was a witness for 32 years.

  I ask them to show me proof about from the scriptures about the 144k, Jehovah's name in the New Testament, blood issue,living on earth,

  torture stake and so on.

  These are all subjects that they cannot prove from the new testament. You can nail them all the time.

  i'm curious, because in my 40's i felt like a million dollars.

  i am starting to feel it,....i just don't have the stamina of working in the yard all day, coming in making dinner and getting the laundry done at the same time, or working full time.. i see the years in my face when i don't get enough sleep, and no amount of makeup makes a difference.

  my eyes seem to always look tired.

  I'm 56 and feel great...often i ache every where but it's because i play racquetball 4 - 5 times a week for a couple of hours at a time.

  Besides that, don't feel my age......being single and no worries it does help.

  Being away from the watchtower also relieves tensions.

  WBTS lenient approach, why?

  in the past when someone was summoned to attend a jc it was almost guaranteed they'd be df'd.

  in recent times however, elders don't just rush to df.

  i have seen teenage baptised unmarried girls fall pregnant and not df'd, but instead had their "priviledges" taken away for a few months.. why this type of approach now?.

  Most people don't get DF even if they committed adultery or fornication.......usually the elders try to help and keep them in the organization.

  Twenty one years as an elder i remember DF just a 2 or 3 and it was not because of what they did but lying

  to the elders even though there were witnesses.

  There were elders though that were quick to DF, especially if they didn't like an individual!

  Would the world end if someone threw CONFETTI and TOASTED at a Witness wedding!!!

  if someone did this at a kingdom hall regardless of the directions, what would happen?

  would the bride run away shrieking in horror while dodging this satanic shower.

  would the groom and his "boys" drag the person out of the hall, so witnesses could shower them with rocks?

  normally when i come to this site, the pages are listed across the top, active topics most recent first, all the way back.

  all of those pages are gone.

  i can only see the most recent page, it's not numbered, and i can only view the first page, or first 15 or so replies.
