  Yes! 1995 was the turning point for me.It shook me hard although I stayed in for +/- 6 more years and then gradually faded.

  Network Business vs Watchtower Business

  it just occured to me that the watchtower is run similar to a pyramid networking type business.what i am talking about is the type of business where members are recruited to distribute or sell the company's exclusive products only available from members, and not from normal retail chain stores.. in most of these network type business schemes the members stand to make at least a bit of money.however, in the watchtower's case, the members(r&f, congregations) do not.

  the watchtower takes all the spoils.. would you say it is a fair comparison?.

  Thinking of writing a book

  i've been contemplating writing a book called "from the other side" .

  basically a story about leaving the jw's.

  only instead of focusing on what's wrong with the jw's (not that i wouldn't have a lot of material there!!.

  Dawn, I would say go for it.Writing my book was part of the healing process after all the discoveries and emotional turmoil I went through.Also the feeling of knowing that you will reach many people and help with their healing process after leaving a religion. I wish you all the best.

  Had The Chat With My Mother

  spilled the beans yesterday.

  told her i was never going to another meeting again.

  knew it wouldn't be too hard going as she's always had a few doubts herself, what i didn't appreciate was just how many she had and how hard she was finding it as she is developing a great social life with 'wordly' friends!!

  My wife has finally seen the light.

  for 18 months i have been at loggerheads with my wife over the wts.

  she has been the perfect watchtower slave even declaring that she'll never leave the truth.

  i decided not to interfere in her life, attacking the society, and the idiots in the hall, but recently things have changed for the best.
