Thanks Everyone.
It has been very therapeutic putting all this down onto paper. I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Already it is causing a little stir over here.Confrontations are looming.
Will keep you posted.

i wrote a fictional book that incorperates a lot of how i believe, in a fantasy and some what sci fi story line.
it is only about 140 pages long and i really enjoyed writing it.
my spouse thinks it is fun and original, but i did not write it to get published.
free!
I know where you are coming from. I submitted my manuscript to five publishers, each returning a rejection slip. That was when I decided to go the self-publishing route. However, you have to do your homework correctly before going this route.Marketing your book becomes a business of its own.
Best of luck.

TRUTH UNDER SCRUTINY
BY
ROBIN JACKSON
A5 (Paperback)
104 pages
Perfect Bound
Category: Non-Fiction
About the book:
Losing The Faith is the chronicle of a man’s journey through a religious organisation that demands exclusive and unquestioning devotion of its followers. It explores the author’s journey from childhood into adulthood together with the doubts and conflicting teachings of the organisation known as Jehovah’s Witnesses. These doubts and concerns eventually led him to investigate some of the teachings to ascertain if it is “The Truth”. The discoveries and cover-ups are recorded in this book and reveal the darkness and anguish felt by the author while uncovering the deception of an organisation that claims to be the sole channel of communication between God and men. The author uncovers the belief in a concept that can be damaging to individuals and families alike.
A brilliant and powerful read. Book available internationally at http://www.lulu.com/robinjackson
for centuries man has been pre-occupied with predicting the end of the world.throughout history their have been so-called visionaries and prophets that have claimed to have been given divine authority to predict the end.calculating precisely when the world will end has preoccupied a long line of forecasters.from sibyl who predicted the return of nero as the antichrist in 195,to william miller who in the nineteenth century predicted the end to come in 1843. the list of projected ends generated by these doomsdayers is impressive.amongst them the dates 195,500,948,1000,1260,1420,1588,1666,1763,1785,1819,1843,1866,1903,1914 and 1975 rank tops.
these dates have been fervently anticipated and then bitterly mourned.. .

The Jehovah's Witnesses is one sect that has preached and has been most obsessed with end time prophecy. The Witnesses original mathematical groundwork was laid down by Charles Taze Russell. Russell originally predicted the end to come in 1914 according to his mystical and mathematical calculations of Daniels prophecy. He died in 1916 a disappointed and dejected man.
For centuries now we have been living at the end of the world.

i have been speaking to my mom about the wbts a lot lately.
last night while discussing the fact that 1914 is now missing from the "awake" masthead (something she never noticed .
she thinks if i write to the gb they will send me a nice neat explenation and that it will all be better and she then can go on thinking that the jw have it all!.
Mrs Smith.
I really do sympathize with you and your dilema.I used to feel angry and frustrated when my wife could not see past the deception and illogical reasoning.Remember these people have been indoctrinated over many years. It truly is hard to tear down the walls the WTS has built up.
Just hang in there. As I said in another post, "Baby Steps"

well it has finally happened.my wife is not going back to the meetings again.as you would probably read in my previous posts, i have written a book about my experience in the watchtower organisation which is on the verge of being published.she still tried to cling to what little belief she had in the borg and did not want to read my manuscript.we discussed many of the issues and concerns i had about the watchtower but most of the times it ended in a heated argument.. i was quite surprised when she approached me about two weeks ago and asked to read my manuscript.after reading it she handed it back to me and said she fully supports me in publishing this book.her eyes have been opened to the deception and lies.i think she and a friend had a bad experience calling on one of her so-called jw friends.furthermore, she did not attend this past weekends circuit assembly..
hooray!!!.
all i have to do now is to introduce her to all you wonderful people here on jwd.. jakes.

What worked for me might not work for you.Remember JWs will not look at any evidence from outsiders refuting Watchtower doctrines. One of the best ways to show them the Watchtower's faults is to use their own changed writings in their literature. Also concentrate on the getting them to think logical about a certain doctrine. For example, I used the previous teaching from the Watchtower with regard to organ transplants as being viewed as cannabalistic. There is no scriptural argument against this medical practice but there was a time when the Watchtower viewed this practice as cannabalistic (See Watchtower Nov 15 1967).Many faithfull witnesses died refusing organ transplants because it was banned by the Watchtower.
However,in 1980 the Watchtower changed their view with regard to this issue and it now stated that it was a conscience issue and a personal decision (See Watchtower March 15 p31 1980). Now this is where I concentrated on the logic. What about all those Witnesses who died refusing an organ transplant back when it was banned. Dont you think it was a tragic, needless and senseless loss of life? Organ transplants are now a matter of personal choice.
The same argument can be used with regard to th blood doctrine.Remember do not bombard her with too much info all at once.
As they say "Baby Steps".
All the best.

It has taken about a year and a half to get her to look at the evidence but it has payed off.For those of you with spouses still "in", hang in there and dont give up.The approach has got to be systematic and we cannot expect them to leave overnight.I realise now it was wrong of me to expect that from her.
I will keep you guys posted on the book's release date.

jws are not much inclined towards spirituality.their beliefs should be classed under the heading dogma.however, from the outside looking in,their distinguishing feature is not their dogma but their intense hatred of the world.for more than a century they have done nothing but groan upon it and have done very little for the plight of mankind in general.their leadership continues to exhort their followers to 'put on the complete suit of armour'.soon christ with his heavenly legions will destroy the governments, clergy, higher learning institutions and the churches.. hate seems to be foremost in their passion to see this world end.. do you think that jws are weaklings who despise the powerful because they lust after power themselves?
( matthew's 'faithfull and discreet slave' seems to be very much exalted in the jws ).
