  To my mind, God will have failed and Satan will be the victor in such an outcome and the issue of Universal sovereignty is not proven at all. All that will be proven is that might is right, that hate is greater than love, that violence is greater than peace, that revenge is greater than mercy, and that Jehovah is a manslayer of far worse proportions than the devil ever was.

  Well said. Yes, it finally makes sense that to fix problems like homelessness, poverty, crime, and lawlessness, you need to kill over 99.9% of humanity.

  reading crisis of conscience, the part of the inquisition of the chairmans committee is very disturbing to me.

  has anyone here been before the jc and treated in such a secretive and destructive manner?

  with my temperment i would probably tell them go to hell and walk out.

  To anyone who hasn't listened to this yet, check out watchtower.cc (For some reason, it's not letting me put the complete link, but go to watchtower.cc and go to the very bottom, under Sick of Lies' Conversations with Elders). It's the experience of a guy (who is a member of this site) who decided to try and get disfellowshipped, and tape as much as possible. This afternoon I just listened to the JC and there was a clear message throughout: you can ask questions, but if you question the Society, or ask too many questions, you are an apostate. Period. It's an educational series of recordings, especially for someone like myself who's never been grilled.

  Oh yes, this report is just reaffirming the obvious. I went out with this pioneer sister one morning. 14k per year is, I believe the first tax bracket? She mentioned it and said she makes "well below that amount," not nearly enough to get taxed. She went on about her job that she only works "2 hours a day" for...and that if it didn't work out, she would quit. I'm sure she must be on welfare or something, but I can't ask.

  Recently on several threads I have said that the WT is preparing the way for some HUGE change. They are doing advance brain conditioning (neuro linguistic programming) so that when it happens the Gofors will just go along with it without demurring.

  I thought we all agreed it was a red herring, this mystical "huge change"...

  Watchtower wouldn't have anything to do with Jesus until he shaved his beard and recognized them as God's Spirit Anointed Orginization. How funny would that be?

  It happened again!!

  so i was at the supermarket today, and rang my groceries through the self-serve cash register.

  i paid as i normally do, using my atm card, and requested $15 cash back.. when i picked up my cash from the machine, not only was there a $5 bill and a $10 bill, but five $20 bills too!!

  i brought the extra money back to the cashier in charge of the self-serve registers, thinking that someone who rang through ahead of me may have forgotten to take their money and just might come back hoping to find it.

  Good for you. I remember one time I went to the movie theater and the guy handed me back WAY more money than I needed. I never gave it back. Still bothers me every time I go past that box office...

  Ever met a CO's wife who was healthy and happy?

  i just read another topic about cos and it got me thinking .

  almost every single co's wife was sick and terribly unhappy.

  i remember listening to them complain about not having a home, not having children, the accomodations of the friends, etc.

  Holy smokes, what a coincidence! The CO's wife we had before our current one had STRICT dietary requirements. It seemed like plain white bread was the only thing that wouldn't upset her digestive system. Our current CO's wife was too ill to join him during his last visit. I always wondered why they tend to have problems, but now I see why...

  I can remember possibly one who didn't wear her problems on her sleeve...

  the young witnesses i knew, male and female, were all feeling the same thing.

  we would bring up sex, in one form or another, all the time.

  I would agree that ignorance plays a big role in how sex is going to be. Think about how ignorant Witnesses were though. I remember hearing about how sex was a wonderful event that happened between a husband and wife. Made it sound like a handing of flowers to someone or something.

  It's quite true. At times I see these young couples who just married for the nookie and now can't stand each other. Poor things. Hey don't forget, they've got quite a checklist of Borg Disapproved sexual practices. When all you've got to work with is missionary position, I would guess it gets pretty boring...
