Were you a loud singer?
by HockeyMullet ini don't know why, but i was just thinking of this guy in my hall that sang so loud that it was embarassing to just be there.
he sounded like the love child of kermit the frog and miss piggy.
i remember trying to mimick his voice during one song and getting counseled by one of the bros because i had a few of younger guys laughing.

The four-time sex offender said he has found himself in a locked hospital again because many of the rules he had to follow while living in society were too strict. He grew frustrated with them.
Verse was convicted of adult charges of assaulting four males from 1988 to 1992. He assaulted a 14-year-old when he was 17, a 17-year-old when he was 18, another 14-year-old when he was 19 and a 23-year-old when he was 21.

I tried going back and then I learned the truth. Sitting back in that KH and listening to the garbage is something I physically can no longer do. And go in field service? Not a chance - how could I draw other people into the same trap? Try other churches - I know we are conditioned to be afraid of them, but you will find that what you were told in the KH was lies.

So sorry to hear. I went through the same - broke, homeless, nowhere to turn, escaping a long history of abuse and they cast me out like dirt. No concern for my emotional and mental health at all. Feel the love? What helped me:
- Going to another church - Ac3.org - not the replacement or the new belief, but seeing that there was love out there, that God really isn't like the JWs portray him - incredible healing
- My fav song - Yes Lord helped with that horrible feeling of shame that WT instilled in me.
- prayer - God is still out there and very real and He loves you

I would have to say that I agree - JWs seem to have MORE murders / mental health issues, etc than other groups. As I used to be married to a mentally ill JW, I can testify to the fact that their teaching tends to drive that mental illness rather than heal it. I could see him killing us all at the drop of a hat. The mentality that we will all just wake up in Paradise anyway, that this is the Devils world - it all can drive a mental situation to the brink. The mentality that we are not saved by grace, not under a God of love, it all adds up to be pretty depressing. Or, are mentally ill people drawn to this type of mind control cult? I would never have chosen it on my own, being a fairly healthy person - I was raised this way. The former DH chose it. I wonder....

As I recall - I never got one when I was df'd. I have known bookstudy conductors that will not give it out to baptized publishers whom they consider to be apostate or borderline. They won't give it to the kids until they are approved pubs. It isn't like it has any big secrets. Who knows?

Those who regularly attend the Service Meeting and who are making progress toward sharing in the field ministry should also receive a copy. Be sure to reserve a copy for the Kingdom Hall library. Disfellowshipped persons should not be given a copy of Our Kingdom Ministry.
Some congregations have found it advantageous to make a list of all persons who qualify and then divide the list up according to Congregation Book Study groups. This list can be used by the study conductors to facilitate distribution, perhaps even typing or neatly writing each person’s name on his copy. Each one who receives a copy of Our Kingdom Ministry should take care of it and use it in preparing for the Service Meeting and for field service. Many have found it helpful to keep a file of Our Kingdom Ministry in their personal theocratic library for future reference.

Well, figure the KMs are for members only. And the Bookstudy conductor has to like you in order to get one too. (They stopped giving my mom one, well, because she is my mom.) We never questioned that - so I guess the R&F will get used to this too. Just as fishy, huh?

Bumping into J Dubs
by beautifulisfree inis it just me or does anyone else get that 'sick' feeling when they see a jdub?
i live in a fairly small town but i knew alot of dubs from all over the state.
i can (gladly) go months without seeing a single witness...but then sometimes no matter where i go they are all over the place.
