gb losch seems to be the top dog for dumbness.. in the local halls i've seen and heard many dumb elders open their mouths.. one elder had a fondness for bible prophecy and watchtower chronology.
he always speculated on what the "watchtower really means" about a statement in print.

Being Reinstated After being DFed - Were You Treated Bad Back Inside ?
by flipper ini was dfed from 1998 to 2002. i was scared $hitless from the 9-11 attacks and wanted to have a better relationship with my witness daughters.
well- my relationship with my daughters at the time improved - however i was still shunned by rank and file members inside the congregation.
inside and outside the kingdom hall.

Finally Free and Long Hair Gal,
I am so glad you two posted. I thought i was nuts or made to believe i was nuts. I was not invited to party's. but, my boyfriend was. it was his 3rd generation congregation. i was the new gal. if i passed a sister down the corridor of the hall...she'd make a rude comment and keep walking. if i'd tell my boyfriend how rude the sisters were treating me and especially HIS sister and her posse, he'd look at me like i was nuts. it even went so far as she called me a crazy nut in front of him and had her friend laugh at me....he just ignored it. and it was at a party at his home! the looks i'd get at the hall from these single sisters. and the brothers....well, that's another story.

i was still considered bad association. Though the guy who was df'd with me, was free to date and marry at the hall. my friend would not have any thing to do with me and shunned me after being reinstated. 9 months after being reinstated, she saw me talking to her son and told her son not to talk to me, i was a corruptive influence. no one spoke to me. i even asked the elders to have someone study with me to get me strong again. no go. i was being shunned all over again. i did write a little about this in the thread (post # 101) "what is your standing in the hall".

in 1997, myself and a brother were DF'd in 1997. 3 months later he was reinstated. 3 years later, i was reinstated. yeah, that's right. though, i did spend the last 2 years in another city/congregation. i wrote 12 letters to the elders asking to be reinstated, only after wrting the CO 3 letters, they met with me and said "try again". tried again....and again. well, 3 years later reinstated, year 2000. then i moved to another congregation, another city. went out in service, turned in time, and after 6 months, no one ever asked me my information for a publisher card. so, i stopped attending. no calls. no visits. End of 2001, i moved to another city. never attended a KH again.
so, i am.....non-existent?.....One JW from my past still talks to me, about twice a year....she considers me Inactive.

hi flipper,
i started looking at this site, i think 4 years ago. i think i joined 2 years later (time escapes me). i hardly posted, but read posts. then life got real busy. i would come back to this site every few months just to read posts. just recently, i started posting, but, very little. if this site goes, i dont know where i will go to. i read something on this site about jws, but, i have not gone there....i dont know the address.
When i left jw org. i moved where no one knew me. did not tell anyone i was an ex-jw. i would feel alone in my situation and want to talk to someone who understands what i have been thru, who knows the jw terminology. so, that i would not feel alone in my situation, i would log onto this site and read.
when i first left i attended a couple of meetings of ex-jw's in so. cal. cynthia is awesome. in fact, part of my knowing her is on her website. i think the story is entitled "a chance encounter" or "a chance encounter at my door". i first met her because i was going door to door as a witness.
my story of being in the jw org. is simple and tragic. its in my profile. simple because, a witness took me under their wing when my mom died when i was young. tragic, because of all the lost time i could have been "me" and not a cog in the jw machine.
