  is autologous transfusion (transfusion of one's own blood) now allowed for jw's?

  someone told me this was his understanding, but i think he's been given some incorrect information.

  I was told that at the ACTUAL baptism the jw's use Father, Son, Holy Spirit but the baptismal questions before the baptism use spirit directed org. Is that correct?

  Ariel,

  Try to calm down and read what you wrote. If your family won't shun you and you have no friends to lose in the org. then, it doesn't seem like a big deal if you are df'd. I would not play any games with them. Tell them the truth and try to be respectful to them as people because your family is watching your behavior. It is my opinion that you need to be true to yourself about what you believe and truthful with others if they ask. Otherwise you are lying to yourself. I am happpy that you have a family that won't shun you if you were df'd so don't give them a reason. They will be under pressure from the elders to shun you, so simply state your feelings in a calm and rational way and ask them for understanding. love, dj

  Corn on the COB

  man this stuff is great eh!

  what a great time of year, all the local farms in my area have there corn out and i pick it up on the way home.. today at one of the local vegetable stands i saw a sign that said "please do not husk the corn" i thought this was awesome, i get so bored watching and waiting for people husking the corn.. why not just pick it and when you get home it's more of a surprise!.

  i have found that if at the top of the husk is a clean white it usually a great cob!.

  Ok.....I tried both today.....I grilled 4 ears with the husk on and 4 with the husk off......my vote is husk on but I prefer just regular old steamed the best. Let the bbq flavor be someplace that it is needed. Like a burger....corn on zeee cob doesn't help imo. That is my buon appetito tip de jour....

  why the fear after we leave the org?

  so many people that i have contacted or emailed show the same fear as well as i do.

  now that we have backed away from the wts many still want to hide.

  i have contacted several people that are in fear to reveal themselves.

  You sound like a man who has his head on straight. My suggestion to you is simple yet extremely complicated and will take time. The way that I counteracted the fears that I had was to pray and find out what the bible really says. Is our God one who kills because we bake our children a cake on the day of their births to remember that day and give thanks to God? The teachings that we were raised with were full of fear and that is why you have fear. Perfect love casts out all fear. I would strongly recommend to find out what you do believe and find a place to fellowship in Christ. The woman that you will meet one day just may be a Christian woman. I wish you peace and love and I tell you that you did not leave God when you left the jw's.....He called you out of it and if you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. He is your peace.   Has any Witness prophesies ever came true ?

  surely some of the prophesies came true, my old mom tells me that they all have bless her heart she is 84 and its all she knows.

  but i guess if you line up all of them the ones that did not far out number the ones that did.

  what do you say to someone who says god directed the witness's in bible prophesies?

  Mornin all....The hurricane was down graded to a tropical storm last evening but the winds were severe here. No flooding in the Philly suburbs like they expected....thank God...we have had enough. There are lots of tree limbs in my yard and it is still windy out there but the sun is trying to peak thru. We lost power overnight and my little boy was up all night with a fever. We had a really fun night... All schools are closed so the kiddies are home today. It could have been really bad so I am thankful that it wasn't. I feel bad for the anyone in the Outer Banks. NC and who saw the weather channel guy in VA get blown off the screen?...cracked me up... He isn't laughing yet, but one day he will when he sees that. Winds are an awesome thing to watch. The power is incredible, makes one feel so insignificant.

  Are You a Junk Food Junkie? Eat Healthy?

  do you mostly eat healthy?

  survive mostly on junk foods and fast foods?

  i waffle back 'n forth, myself.....graze for a while....then get into "cooking for la famiglia" mode, ruin my digestive system....and segue into junk!!!

  Hi Frannie,

  I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you yet my dear. You sound a bit like me, paisano? It is either buon appetito en la cucina de Donna or it is cheesesteaks and onion rings from the deli up the road... I cook a lot for my famiglia but when I don't we party on junk. Tonight the menu for dinner during this lil hurricane is....bruschetta with roasted garlic and fontina, brocolli rabe, stuffed baby artichokes...pasta aglio olio, chicken marsala or piccante ( can't decide) and a caesar salad. Errrr. if we lose power....it might be peanut butter and jelly on that bruschetta..........btw, I hate diet soda, gross. It takes like chemicals. We don't drink much soda around here but if we do it is the real thing...lol, the real thing....wasn't that a coca cola commercial? Nice to meetcha Frannie Paisano Bannanie. love, dj
