Purps so sorry to hear this. I had my purse stolen at work once , i found it dumped in abin up the road, empty of course except for one side which i had full of pins - boy i hope he stuck his fingers in there first serve him right!
My nan was broken into, not much was taken (nothing much to take she had no valuables), but she never felt safe or easy in her own home after that, the thieving pigs.

Now Linda is ill!!
by dedpoet infirst it was her mum in hospital, then it was me, just for a night, though i've been ordered to rest and given 6 weeks off work, and now linda (fullofdoubtnow) is ill. she has a really bad bout of flu, which started yesterday, and i expect she'll be in bed for a few days.
i just fed her some soup, which is about all she can manage at the moment, and she's gone back to sleep now.
she sends her love to everyone on the board,i expect she will be posting again in a few days, but for now, she's confined to bed..

I think its great you are able to laugh at this moron Cbb, anyone who can talk to you like that with your history just isnt worth the time of day. We'll all get cross for you! What planet is he on anyway, what sort of mentality is it that they have to think that everyone in the 'world' is into drugs, etc my family are ten times more christian than my hubbys yet they're all deemed 'worldly' and worthy to be killed at the big a?And how dare he rant and rave at you in that way - haha what a twerp!!! Hugs to you x Debbie

Mission Possible: Apostate tactical teams
by MsMcDucket inwe got to come up with plans for this shunning crap.
one plan that i have is:.
when one of our comrades is going out somewhere they should have another ex-dub with them, and we should try to make their unbelieving loved ones know that we can play that game too.
-
dobbie
Ms McDucket - don't worry youv'e not offended me it made me laugh actually, especially what you posted on my thread - thanks, i will tell hubby you'll be after him with that big wooden spoon of yours if he doesn't buck up!lol!

My Story
by nonamegiven inwell, my story isnt as exciting or as tragic as many are, but its mine so ill tell it.
the early years:.
i was raised in the truth but we were inactive for many years.
-
dobbie
Nonamegiven - i am so sorry about the death of your dear little boy, what you have been through is tragic and to be spoken to like that by those that are supposedly 'christian' is disgusting. I hope you stay around there are so many caring people on this board who are here for you. Debbie

Would you want to know?
by lola28 inlets say there is chance you have an illness and you can take a few blood tests that will tell you if you do in fact have this illness, would you want to know ?
keep in mind that there is no treatment and nothing you can do to "make it better", what would you do?
would you like to know or would you rather not find out ?.
-
dobbie
I did have to get a blood test once a long time ago and although i was terrified i just had to know personally, because worrying about it every day was too much. But that was me and mr situation back then. But are you okay Lola?

Do you remember giving talks?
by klydia ini'm trying to remember the process for giving a talk.
i remember getting a slip with a topic on it, but what else was on that slip?
did it tell you what scriptures you should cite, or what book the talk was based on?
-
dobbie
Yep my first talk was in the second hall - my first and last that is - never did it again too damaging to my nerves!
The most embarrassing talk i ever heard was in the main hall, by a brother , who had to give a talk on masturbation!Boy did i hve the giggles! He just get saying the word over and over again and looked like he wanted the floor to swallow him up(i think we all wanted that!)LOL!
