Its another thing i'm not sure about either way, i believe that as we are here there is surely the possibility that there are other life forms or something somewhere, though i don't think it likely we'd have contact with them. So i guess i think its likely but i'm not convinced one way or the other, i think its just another thing i will never know for sure about.

Are you an a-xenist?
by AuldSoul in"xeno" is a common taxonomical designation for aliens (strangers) including extraterrestrials.. are you someone who lacks belief in intelligent extraterrestrial beings?
do you believe it is possible that such extraterrestrial beings exist?
do you think it is possible or likely that our planet has had interactions with extraterrestrials?.

1) being invited to a baby shower or bridal shower for someone whom i have never met, just so i will bring them a gift.

Oh and another thing about answering phones is when you can't reach it in time and the answer phone comes on, and they wait to listen to the automated message and then put the phone down!
It annoys me too that hubby cannot put his dirty undies in the laundry basket, he usually dumps them on the bathroom floor, and if i do mention it he chucks them across the room near the laundry basket, he can't seem to physically open the lid and put them in lol!

My last communication with mom & sister
by HadEnuf intoday i decided to write my mom and sister, who are currently occupied with shunning me, a letter of good-bye.
seems to me that this should bring me somewhat of a closure to this whole jw business.
i probably won't send this out until next week.

HadEnuf i think that letters really great and well done for having the guts to write it, i can understand you coming to that point where you want closure, i feel the same thought it is hubbys family like it not mine it gets to the point where all you can say is you have to put your own beliefs and feelings first so that you can move on with your life and not be continually held back.x

Well i did commit a gross sin once, had 3 of the elders come round but as i was sorry for it i think all i had to do was have a study with one of them (which soon fizzled out). They obviously didn't want to get rid of me back then, think they're glad to see the back of me now though lol!
One bloke in our congo, slept with an much older women, who had a child (who recently found out at age 22 what everyone else had known all along, he thought her ex hubby was hid dad poor thing), then he was made a ms and stole the money out of the contribution box, then he came back again and slept with someone elses' wife and they're now married (it was one of those 'perfect' pioneer families you get, both kids are out now), and they did go back again but i think only go to the memorial now since someone called his new wife 'spawn of satan'!lol

LOL glad i wiped off my little boys message on the answer phone then!!(But he's actually very clear spoken!)
Mentioned it on the other thread but HATE people touching my stomach when i'm pregnant - back off!!!
People that don't give way to the right at roundabouts.
Elders that call on my door despite my 'no religious callers' notice
Okay that'll do for now lol!

Did you ever feel that you had Jehovah's Smile Of Approval?
by truthseeker ini heard this phrase a lot over my jw tenure, if we do this or that, we would have "jehovah's smile of approval.
"
did you ever experience this, say for pioneering?
-
dobbie
No, purely the 'feel good' factor of feeling good and alittle smug with myself when i did something 'good'. (ok i only pioneered one month but i felt like i had a little halo on my head that month lol!)
I do remember when i got baptised i had to go on stage and talk about my experiences in front of 700, and i was so quiet and shy i felt like i was going to die of fright, as soon as i got on stage i just went totally calm, my friend too - she said that was Jehovah helping us for doing the right thing, obviously i don't think it was now!

Declaring JW's a cult to co-workers
by OnTheWayOut ini am in a unique work situation which i won't describe because i am a fader.. let's just say that it's like vegas.
what happens (or is said) at work stays at work.. we are a fairly tight bunch.
some of my closest co-workers know my situation.

OTWO it really helps having friends that you can trust and talk to about these things. Also its great you can talk to them openly about it as it means that they aren't likely to be tempted to listen next time the jws come to the door so it is benefitting them as well.
And MUM is right, before i sent my d'a letter i made friends with some of the parents at my sons school and did voluntary work there, so that when i did d'a and the jws shunning me in the playground, i had people there that knew my situation and thought it was disgusting but really helped me cope. So if anyone is thinking of leaving for good, it really helps to try and meet some people and make non conditional friends first. It is well worth the effort and i'm as shy as a mouse so if i can do it anyone can!lol
