  last year i decided to attend the memorial.

  i came in last minute and ended up sitting at the end of the row.

  when the symbols were passed out they skipped me and gave to the person next to me.

  If he is seated in a row with others and proceeds to partake of the emblems. Such a one is not counted, in any case, as a partaker.

  So, they and only they have the only word of who can partake and is going to heaven...I guess is their religion and their rules. Weird.

  the jws have a cart at the train station near my work and today they're featuring the april watchtower and awake magazines.. have you seen these yet?

  have the society discovered the worldly technique of using attractive cover models to sell their products or something?

  when i saw this article's title in the latest kingdom ministry - http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/278822/1/june-2014-kingdom-ministry-km-06-2014-pdf - i was delighted!!.

  i thought, "at last, we are all being encouraged to visit our poor brothers & sisters in nursing homes, who feel abandoned!.

  nope, that's not it - it's all about targetting non-witnesses in those establishments, and get them to sign up for "bible" studies.

  I would like to compare the works of other religions in nursing homes againts the Jws. I bet the Jw are only books! tracts! study! and other religions are more humane.

  Books!

  i feel like i wasn't allowed to read a lot of books when i was younger, a lot of which i'm discovering are positivly phenomenal.. i was allowed to read edgar allan poe, who remains my all time favorite writer.

  but, i've discovered the joys of stephen king, anne rice, joyce carrol oats, neil gaiman, george r. martin, david sedaris... and so so so many more.. i'm currently getting through "the shining" so i can move on to "doctor sleep".

  i'm interested to see if anyone else that discovered the many joys of "worldly" literature, jumped immediately into what they weren't allowed to read... and what was your favorite?.

  Order in the universe

  this topic was covered in book study last night.

  some commented that the universe is ordered and the stars don't collide.. that has nothing to do with order.

  it is more to do with that there is more space between the stars and planets and things go between them if they were in the same area.. and do they not consider that the many things that colliided with the moon to make those crators?.
