i always had little games i played.
to this day i have a fascination with notebooks and write almost compulsively when something is wrong.

I used to get it to sleep so bad that if I tried to move I'd almost be screaming in pain.
I never had the discipline to count the holes but it might be worth going back one more time to accomplish that feat. lol
I would also imagine if the entire world got destroyed outside of our hall and we had to repopulate the Earth, which sister would I pick. In our hall I would have been pretty beat though.

In my opinion that quote over rides any questions.
Being pacified is not better off to anyone. Some are on drugs real bad and if they weren't, maybe they would go crazy. I myself was on a 5 year trip through that world and always "knew" that I could never deal with life without that NUMBED world. All my guilt fears and worries were taken care of. I was homeless, starving, freezing, and hurting everyone I knew but it didn't quite get to me because I had an UMBRELLA. I was convinced that was the only way. I was defective. Now, after 5 years clean, I see that as ridiculous. Getting away from all the guilty feelings I was made to feel (by u no hoo) actually helped me. I suddenly was starting a new life all together. Getting clean wasn't taking another shot at JW life, it was starting a NEW life after I realized maybe Jehovah wasn't staring at me.
IMO----An illusion is never good because I feel in our subconscious we always know the truth. The REAL truth...the truth that nothing is worth turning away family and friends.
Do to the age factor, you really can do no wrong, one way or the other, in my opinion.

Hmm that reminds me. I used to come back from the washroom with a mouthful of water and pretend I was amphibious and that if I couldn't swallow a little bit of water with each breath I'd suffocate. That game lasted until all the water was gone of course.
That's funny.
I used to put a felt tipped pen on the kingdom ministry and watch the ink blot grow.
Count ceiling tiles.
Draw a line in the crease of whatever book it was.
See if I could get my foot to fall asleep to the point I couldn't move it.
Try to draw a portrait of a random person in the hall. I'm no artist by any stretch of the imagination but one time it came out perfect.

by mama1119 ini could not have a big new kids on the block pin, or wear any new kids on the block pins in puplic becuase it was considered idolatry.
i also could not wear my shoes without laces (it was cool back then) because it looked wordly.
what other strange theings besides the usual holiday/birthday stuff weren't you allowed to do?

years ago, when i was a bit more wicked/naughty/younger than i am now, i thought i would take some drugs just prior to the meeting to see if it would make things any more interesting.
it didnt, but at least i enjoyed the kingdom melodies tapping my foot to the beat and bopping my head!!

Me and my friend "smoked out" a little before the meeting one time when I was like 16.
We couldn't look at each other for the entire meeting. We knew as soon as we caught eye contact we'd bust out laughing.
