people believe things which can be measured are true things,.
and things that cannot be measured are untrue things.. science is what people point to as a "truth", yet science itself .

Question for Jcannon.
by Asheron inhello my friend,.
i was reading through a few of your past posts in an effort to get to know the christ better and i have a question.
according to one of your posts from 2003 you tell us that being publically ridiculed or disbelieved by apostates is a fullfilment of prophesy.

Need help debunking criticism; any scholars or those with Bible insight?
by The Nothing Man ini have worked on a piece for a while now, you may have come across several of my questions posed to this board already.
this was all for the purpose of debunking some unsubstantial, unorthodox criticisms of the bible.
i am looking for any like minded person, with a little bit of time on their hands, which could help me to debunk some of the unorthodox theories set forth in this criticism.

What Would You Like to Tell The Governing Body?
by AK - Jeff inwe assume that they or their dupes read this forum, or parts of it, right?
address your comments to them.
do so kindly, and respectfully, remembering that it is their religion, and they can run it like they like.

No Heart in Science? No Mind in Religion?
by Asheron inas an atheist and humanist and an ex jdub i have been involved in many conversations with theists (both here and in rl) about the primary differences between our worldviews.
while the belief vs evidence debate will never end, i am always confused and hurt by the occasional implication that because i use the scientific principle to form my world view i somehow lack wonder, feelings or "heart".
on the other side of the coin i am always angered when someone with a theist world view is accused of being a non-thinker or somehow lacking intelligence.. i came across a talk on ted that moved me to post a link.
