I whole heartedly believe that it is God's Organization. I truely believe that it has been infultrated by Satans influence( much like it was back in Isreals time). God's people are in trouble.

i was watching a special on cnn saturday about muslims and them worshiping "allah".

i said to my self "they are worshiping a false god.

the other day, we were discussing whether satan is a real person (fallen angel) or just the personification of evil.

i was trying to see people's thoughts on this topic because many christians i know claim satan is not real.

even clergy today teach this.

Sounds like prejudice to me. It also appears that it isn't yet time to restore your posting limit to normal levels.

Scully, I assure you that I do not have a prejudice bone im my body. I didn't mean for my comment to sound prejudice and if it did I apologize. I was mearly giving my thoughts on a statement made not directly to the poster who statred this thread. I dont think my comment is any different from alot of the comments here on this board. Look at the crisis of conscience thread. Again, Scully my apologies for sounding prejudice.

I was never afraid to die until my daughter was born. I don't want to leave this earth until my kids are grown.

My thoughts exactly. Our kids need us and I want to be there for them.

i had wanted to talk to them since last saturday, one of the women came by with a fellow and offered me the magazines.

They're sincerely scared and that's it!

I have to disagree Lonely. I can't say for sure why those witness You encountered were out that day, but from experience with my old Congregation and my own personal reasons, it was not because they or I were afraid.

No, God should not be held responsible for the evil people do, no more than the Wright Brothers should be held resposible for what people do with airplanes (like attaching bombs on them to drop on people) God created men PERFECT and put them in Perfect surroundings. It was man who deviated, not God.

The daily text is a joke. They quote a snippet of scripture then talk about whatever they want.

I am suprised to hear that from a proclaimed Christian. Reading a scripture to start the day off to, then trying to make modern day application to it is a JOKE? I have been to other church bible studies and that is exactly what they do. I see nothing wrong with that. YOU don't start your day off with scripture? Do you meditate on it and see how it can strenghten you or how it can draw you closer to God or how to apply it in life? Isn't that what we are supposed to do? That is what the daily text is for.

consider the scene: jesus has just been baptized and immediately leaves for an extended stay in the wilderness all on his lonesome.

now ... already this is something the governing body would discourage any jw from doing, but i digress.. along comes satan.

jesus knows it is satan, because of how satany he is.

Jesus did not tell Satan to "get lost". At any point. Maybe you are thinking of what he said to Peter?

Maybe since your departure from the truth your memory of scripture departed as well. That usually happens to those who leave, they also stop studying the bible.

Then Jesus said to him: "Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service. Then the Devil left him, and, look! angels came and began to minister to him. (Matthew 4:10) Looks to me Jesus told him to get lost.
