Hi Everyone:
My theory is not as underhanded as it sounds. After all, didn't God tell Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge planted in the middle of Eden? Why would God create such a tree and leave it in plain sight for Adam and his wife to see? Wouldn't that be considered underhanded? Perhaps this wasn't underhanded. Isn't it possible that God was giving man the CHOICE to follow God or go his own way? We are not in the Garden of Eden but God still has to make sure we have choices right? What better way of doing this than by leaving things for us to ponder over and make up our own minds? If these theories are true, than where does that leave Jesus? How do we know that Jesus was not a test given to us to see if we would follow a 'prophet' or God's commandments?

Interesting questions about evolution, created and the WTS.
by Santisimo inisn't it possible that god created the universe to look old?.
think about it, when god created adam he was a full grown adult - not an infant.
he created eve as a full grown woman.. is it hard to believe that god could create a universe fully formed?

Sensational news in my Cong!
by Zico ini've just found out something that's going to be a massive thing in my congregation when it gets out.
it all starts with a former jw, who faded away probably about a decade ago, and then moved away, came out as a homosexual a few years ago.
he was never baptised, and he left so long ago, he never got chased up or disfellowshipped.

Growing up in the Borg, I remember a couple of 'undercovah bruthaz' who were clearly taking it up the 'poop shoot'. Nothing was done about it until some old sister caught one of them grabbing his buddy by the sack at the supermarket. Otherwise, he'd still be giving talks at the KH.

In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God is everything. When he created our universe, our reality, he created a void within himself. That void was filled with his light as shown in Genesis. From that light, came creation and everything we know. Every law of nature, every human concept, every thing that exists in our reality. A pregnant woman is a perfect example of this. There is a void between her and her child. The child exists within her and is connected via a cord. We were 'cut off' so to speak, from our creator when Adam chose to live his reality apart from God. This is like the child who leaves the womb prematurely.
For this reason it IS possible to pray to God and get answers. He is as close to us as the blood that runs through our veins and the air we breathe. He is above time and space and can hear and see everything.

Isn't it possible that God created the universe TO LOOK OLD?
Think about it, when God created Adam he was a full grown adult - not an infant. He created Eve as a full grown woman.
Is it hard to believe that God could create a universe fully formed? If God has the power to create, and is above everything, what is so hard about creaing the universe in six days?
And about the dinosaurs. Just because there are bones in the ground it doesn't mean they EVER WALKED THE EARTH. Isn't it possible that God buried these bones to preserve our freedom of choice? After all, if God made it too obvious that he created everything we wouldn't have much of a choice about worshipping him, right?
Is it possible that the WTS fell into the trap of making the Bible view match the opinions of scientists? Shouldn't the WTS have more faith in the Bible and BELIEVE AND TEACH that God DID CREATE THE WORLD IN SIX LITERAL DAYS? Wouldn't this show more faith, more credibility than folding to the thoughts of scientists WHO HAVE BEEN PROVEN WRONG ABOUT MANY THINGS?

What the hell is the WTS saying about evolution now?
by Santisimo indid anyone read the recent wts "special article" about creation and evolution?
i read it and fell of my freaking seat.
get this, the wts now believes (and yes, they want everyone to agree or else) that god created the universe billions of years ago and that nothing was created in six days as shown in genesis!.

John 1:1 in the KIT, how blind a JW must be to actually believe the WT
by A-Team inok, ya know the scripture and all, but there is something that even jws can't even deny.
in john 1:1, the word god, or theos.
the lower case word of god, in the greek is qeov, the upper case word is "8eov" (my keyboard doent have that letter as you know) the word god appears twice in this verse, written the exact same way.

Sadly, they don't. If they did they would ask themselves how they got involved in that mess. By then, years have gone by and they have no 'real' friends left. Their lives are now revolving around their KH and they can't imagine life without it.

God told us how to identify a false prophet.
by Santisimo inhowever, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that i have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.
and in case you should say in your heart: how shall we know the word that jehovah has not spoken?
22 when the prophet speaks in the name of jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that jehovah did not speak.

“ However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die . And in case you should say in your heart: “How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?” 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it.” Deut. 18:20-22
Here's my question to you, how would a JW respond to this text in light of ALL the changes the WTS has made to it's doctrines and predictions?
Is it just me, or is it this simple to figure out how wrong the WTS has been about everything in the Bible?

12.06 KM and the "spirtual banquet" served by Jehovah
by rassillon inin concert with the previous post about the revelation book changes (and changes in general) i would like to add a few comments and reasoning points from the december 2006 our kingdom ministry.. (first) on page 1 under the heading "do not lose the love you had at first" paragraph 2 states: personal study and meeting attendance: what caused us to develop love for god and neighbor when we first learned the truth?
was it not all that we learned about jehovah from our study of the scriptures?
(1 john 4:16, 19) therefore, so that our love "may abound yet more and more," we must continue taking in accurate knowledge, digging into "the deep things of god.

The WTS has very convenient excuses for changing their views. The last time I checked, God has NEVER changed his mind about anything HE wrote through his prophets in the Hebrew Scriptures. The WTS on the other hand, feels that it is within their 'duty' to change things as they see fit, regardless of the lives they ruin in the process. How many people haven't been DF'd over policies they didn't agree with, and now the WTS does a complete 360 on these same issues?
By the way, does the WTS still have a ban on "The Twist"? In case anyone hasn't noticed, Merengue and Salsa dancing are FAR more sensual than The Twist, yet neither of these are banned. So can I throw on some Chubby Checker records or what?

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 12-17-06 WT Study (Sacred Gatherings)
by blondie in: the special assembly day, the two-day circuit assembly, and the three- or four-day district convention.
q9) how can we show our respect for sacred gatherings by our dress and behavior?.
- how can children show that they respect the sacred nature of our meetings?.

You are so right Avid, if we did EXACTLY what Jesus did, we would all be JEWS. The WTS and Christianity are missing this point entirely. Christianity's ignorance I could forgive, but not the ignorance shown by the WTS since they claim to know everything.
