  Meeting for Field service

  i know we have discussed in detail about the end of the book study arrangement.

  but how are the congregations going to handle the meeting for field service on saturday morning.

  most kingdom halls can barely handle one congregation let alone 3 or 4. i asked a friend of mine who is still active and he had no response.

  I am the Faithful and Discreet Slave

  when i first attended the congregation of jehovahs witnesses i never even thought about whom or what was the faithful and discreet slave.

  i do not believe that this information is ever taught to the public directly.

  i think you have to be baptised or start attending the same meetings as those that are baptised.. anyway what made all of you adapt the teaching of the faithful and discreet slave (class or whatever)?

  Public Talk & Bookstudy Changes - the real reason

  i havn't been able to keep up with all the discussion in this forum as to why the gb has suddenly decided to implement these changes and perhaps someone has mentioned this already, but to me the most obvious reason has nothing to do with control, or money.

  it has everything to do with the serious shortage of qualified brothers who can (or who are willing to) be used.

  i have been involved in the organzation for 40 yrs and i have never seen the level of apathy and disillusionment among those serving in some capacity in this organization.

  the spread of muslims in europe.

  it seems inevitable that a hundred or two hundred years from now, the majority of people in europe will be muslim.

  this is based on the number of children they are having compared to non muslims, and the presumption that they will be told from a very early age they are muslim too, and taught to believe the same things as their parents.
