WELCOME to the forum, Four Lights!!!
As for my answers to the questions, I always loved beards, even as a little girl. I thought it was rediculous that even though all the men in the bibletimes were shown with beards, the brothers couldn't have one. I was a little tweaked to think I would not be able to have a husband with a beard when I grew up. Well, I showed them... and he has gorgeous long hair, too :)
As far as dress goes, the "welcoming committee" that always stood near the door of the KH ALWAYS, always made FUN of my outfits!!! I am SO not kidding you. It did not matter if they were "appropriate" or not, I did strive to show a bit of originality (imagine that) and I would hear about it... every stinkin' meeting. I know they just thought they were funnin' and I could take it. Well, you know what people, it gets really OLD.
Oh and as I only dated on JW, I talked one of the boys I liked a lot from school into coming to one of the meetings. He said afterwards, "I guess it wouldn't be so bad to have a JW for a wife, seeing as how they are so submissive!" and then laughed quite a bit. I didn't laugh much. Believe it or not, we are still great friends! hahahahaaha... I am not still great freinds with those who made fun of my outfits.
Cheers!

New Campaign: "The End of False Religion Is Near" and the Tribulation
by Mikeus inyesterday my wife (an inactive-but-not-yet-df'd jw) and i went over to visit her parent's house (still very active jws), and my mother-in-law handed my wife a flyer entitled 'the end of false religion is near' with a nice evil-destroying lightning bolt pictured on the front.
she whispered to my wife that this was a new campaign and was not supposed to be handed out until next month, but was "very excited, because this is supposed to bring about the tribulation".. they may be right.
inside the two pages they call catholics condoning child molesting (ironic), non-jws blood thirsty war mongers, and how people involved in politics are under mind control (again, ironic), among other things.

WELCOME, MIKEUS!!! We're glad you're here, and I love your weird little avatar, by the way.
Yes, please do stick around... as MegsMomma says, this is sortof old news for this forum... it's truly funny how scans of materials show up on this board weeks before a convention release.

WELCOME, Sovereign!
I posted a similar reply to your first post... hard copies show up on eBay, but rarer ones are pricey, and you might try a Google search for Watchtower Documents or the specific ones you want, there are lots of sites these days with scans and databases. -

Pioneer Service School documents
by sovereign inanyone who knows where i can find documents about pioneering?

First of all, WELCOME, sovereign!!! We're so glad you're here.
Do you want scans or hard copies? Hard copies can be found on eBay, but I have to warn you, a pal of mine on another forum just sold a pioneer handbook for a chunk of money. Because they are rarer, they can get pretty pricey.
There are several sites now with scans and searchable databases, have you tried doing a Google search? -

true friendship, true brotherhood??
by Ade inrecently we received a phone call, .
it was a sister whom we had known from the first kingdom hall we attended .she broke in to conversation concerning my health !!
asking how i was, this firstly was mightily shocking and secondly not allowed as i am da'd.knowing this sister however ( i will for no reason state that she is the wife of an elder, he being a genuine person whom i wish i could draw away from the lies ) i waited for the true reason of the call.

Quote: "If the congregation is so loving, Why is this sister phoning Myself ( Da'd) My Wife ( inactive and ready to D'a ) for comfort??"
Wow. You're not kidding. And we all know the answer to that.
Strength to you, hope you are doing well. And you know what? Strength to that "sister" and her family, too... little does she realize, they have healing to do in more ways than one. Hope they find the ...truth.
