i just finished reading this book called the alchemist.
it is a very compelling story about following your dreams.
what i found most intriguing about the book is the depth of spirituality it brought out in me.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to live forever, even if it is just a fantasy.
There is no need to be negative towards those of us that would like what in reality, may be unattainable. And not all of us have troddon over others to try to acheive that goal when we were JW's.
There is such a thing called hope and optimism...even if it is misplaced!

we all know that bethel is especially going to be monitoring "apostate" websites, such as this one, in the light of their apparently massive settlements to ensure that their gag orders for the lawsuits are kept (if someone was going to break it, this is likely the first place they'd turn!).
later on today there will be press conferences disclosing that "some" settlements have been reached, for "some" amount of money.
What I want to know, is where are their conciences?
If they can moniter these sites without having the slightest of doubts about their religion...then they have none!

Absolutely, unquestionably YES.
I still sometimes wonder if what the Bible says about living forever on earth is true. There is nothing I would love more than to see my kids grow up, grandkids etc. My main worry is that I'm terrified of dying...don't know why.
I hate to say it, but if I knew for sure that the JW's were really right, to live forever, I would seriously think about going back to the meetings and put up with all the beaurocratic bullsh*t just to acheive that for my family.
On the other hand, I agree with Highlander. At the cost of all non-Jws would be too high a price.
I'm just glad I don't have to make that choice. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
i work with a lot of people who are very sexually active.
which should mean they are real happy, right?
after all, isn't sex the best feeling in the world and that is why we have such a strong internal sex drive.
Is it really more special if you wait until your married at 45ish and starting to fall apart, instead of having sex before marriage while your in your prime?
The things that make me laugh...
I don't think a piece of paper should influence whether or not you should have sex. I definitely don't want my children to get married just for the sake of having sex. I've seen too any young JW's do that and are now paying the price of leading a miserable life with someone they are sooo incompatible with. So I am quite happy with whatever they choose...as long as they are happy.
And why would waiting until your married make it more special???

3 year course in ancient history.
The assignment is an essay - Assess the extent to which science has been effective in helping to unlock and preserve the past.
Ozti is one example to use along with one other, I chose the El-Hargasa mummies.
I have spent all night writing the paper, but would like other opinions before I re-write final copy.

I'm not much into the science aspect of history, and as such, am finding writing this paper difficult.
Yes science has helped to unlock the past by effective dating etc, and can now adequately preserve without destroying remnants/artifacts/in this case Ozti the ice man, but to what extent, apart from a glimpse of another time, has science been helpful?
