Court case on DA/DF relevent to SilentLambs?
by Max Divergent ini've not seen this us court of appeal case before but think it may be important re the silentlamb cases and general da/df legal issues.
after her da, a janice paul sued the wts because she was "upset by her shunning by her former friends and co-religionists alleging common law torts of defamation, invasion of privacy, fraud, and outrageous conduct".
the court dismissed her claim observing that "*883 [7] we find the practice of shunning not to constitute a sufficient threat to the peace, safety, or morality of the community as to warrant state intervention.

Janice Pauls' disfellowshiping was not an act in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy
1) To hide a crime
2) to preotect a criminal
3) to hide Watchtower's ROLE in hiding the crime and protecting the criminal.
4) to alter/effect change in a court's witnesses testimony
Watchtower's expulsion/shunning of the 'fearless foursome' is obviously toward one or all of those four ends;
THEREFORTE IT LOSES ITS CONSTITUTIONAL PROTECTIONS

he said he gave a talk where the outline said that jws were not to even take a job that was connected to the un.
i don't remember it being stated this clearly in a wt.

I sat through a public talk not long ago---say, March/April OF THIS YEAR 2002--wherein the brother states: "It would be displeasing to God and a violation of God's law to do janitorial work in a blood bank".
Is that actually IN a public talk outline, or did the brother 'throw that in' does anybody know?
And I have always understood that the public talks were based on older Watchtowers? Is that so too?

i met this guy back in dec. at my job, during the first week i started.
(i had a post in the past about my dating him, he's a jw) everything was going cool, except for the fact that: 1) he had a second job as a producer/dj and 2) he didn't have a car, he had to borrow his parents car.

When you consider what happeend to Ray Franz after he left, I do not blame him for not being in a hurry to leave. I don't blame ANYONE for that. I dragged my feet long enough myself.

you might want to edit your post to delete this unless you can show some evidence. I BELIEVE what you say is true as far as Russell being obsessed with young girls and a good case can be made for it, but that is not quite what you said.

These people, (Maria Russell, Olin Moyle, William Schnell, Ray Franz and many many others like them) gave so much to the Watchtower, the best years of their lives, and Watchtower used them and then when they were done with them threw them away like yesterday's dishwater.
It just makes me really mad.
What they did to Maria Russell was beyond redemption, they SLANDERED and LIBELED that woman years after she was DEAD. There would have BEEN no Watchtower without her, and yet compare what they said about her in the 'Proclaimer's' Book and compare that with the events related in 'Visions of Glory' (on Freeminds.org).
