  whats the funniest comment heard from the audience during a wt study/book study/service meeting?.

  we had a young retarded kid in our cong , who had his hand up for every single question , usually the bro would take his comment as he would just say "jehovah" but this time he takes the mic and starts this long winded comment rounded off with"satans going to cause a civil war!

  it wasn't a WT study, but when they first announced i was DF'ed one of the brothers doing the mics started to sing "another one bits the dust".....just kidding... i wasn't even there

  growing up, i remember hearing stories from my own parents and others in the congregation about experiences with demons.

  sister x wore a t-shirt that she purchased at a second hand store and the demons attached themselves to the shirt and gave her problems.

  certain movies and/or cds would give a family problems.

  i know as a witness growing up i have heard quite a few stories about demonic episodes . i was told that if i had any rap or heavy metal cd's (by the way bands like pearl jam and red hot chilli peppers were considered heavy metal) i would have to say that most of the people i know that told those stories were nuts, or they were kids. Until i see something floating across the room, i am not buying it. i believe there is a reason for everything. just watching a movie like "the beautiful mind", and also reading various articles on psychology, the mind can do crazy things

  due to my husbands interactions with my mom with questions about the history of the wbts, i received a phone call from her.

  (keep in mind she is 72 years a witness).

  i brought up the un thing and she said, thats from apostates.

  i have to agree with my brother on this one "monkeyshine". i know certain people that when it comes down to an argument, its a copout. "i am living a better life" is the general quote. the fact is isolation keeps you from going anywhere. remember a lot of people, i believe anyway, that are still IN have doubts. otherwise, they wouldn't even entertain the possibility of being wrong.

  Can JW's have friends of the other sex?

  we all know that jw's don't make friends out of their religion, but in the jw religion, can members have close friendship with the other sex?.

  my experience in the org.

  makes me say no.. i remember one cold winter, i was waiting for a brother in his driveway, and my car was warm, and his wife was waiting for someone to pick her up in front of her home, and since i waiting in the entrance waiting for her jw husband to come out of the house so that we could leave in my car, so i told the sister, his wife, who was waiting in the cold, to sit in my warm car while her lift arrives, so she finally sat in my car, but when her husband came out of the house and saw her in my car with me alone, although she was seated in the back, he told her, why are you alone with him.. gee, they both knew me since years, and we were good friends.

  when i was in the org. it was hard to be friends with the opposite sex. i mean we had our little click but the gossip was crazy. i wasn't the best kid in the hall but for a while i was getting more ass then i was aware of. at one point i got a girl pregnant, so the rumor said. it was amazing i got into a little hot water according to the org. and next thing you know i was a predator. i guess i can see now that there isn't much to talk about when you are shoved into a shoebox of a social enviroment.

  Can a prospective divorced member marry another JW

  i have recently chosen to have a bible study with the jws because i have recently met several jws who have inspired me by their goodness towards others.

  i have been married twice, divorced once and now recently separated.

  none of my marriages ended due to adultery on either side.

  I am sure that his kindness was from the heart, but keep in mind that if your studying you are considered to be on the right track. i was talking to my brother about kindness that is shown inside the organization all good acted but a lot of times it is only shown in the organization and most JWs wouldn't think about helping someone outside, not because they are mean or don't care, but because just the way it is, its subconscious almost. I agree do your research before doing anything its a life altering move.

  When are ex-jws/Apostates going to get on with their lives?

  i went to a ex-jw's potluck the other day and it will be my last time going.

  there were about 20 ex-jw's there just bashing the watchtower society for 2 hours.

  i had all i could take and left.

  I could see why that would bother him. I'am not bogged down with hatred. I have never been to a social event bashing the BTS, but I can also see how it could help some people. Not everyone can just wash there hands of it. Some still have family members that are still in it, and that keeps it fresh in your mind. Also not every family completly disowns you because you decided not to believe in it anymore. I am new to this site but it still intrests me to talk about it. If I can help out with someone else or they can help me with a subject so be it.
