Calling all elders and former elders (need advice)
by nonamegiven inwow, i'm asking elders for advice, how strange.
anyway if you want to know my history and where i am look at my first 1/2 dozen or so posts, it'll bring you up to speed.

they got me to read the letter i wrote them in the jc meeting and afterwards, i realised it was like a prayer you directly say to jehovah, and you area kindof asking for forgivness in front of the elders. so i would recomend writting a letter that when you read it , can be directed at jah, therefore making you sincere....

doesnt that just logically prove to them that people are not impressed to be called apon in their own home,and if someone did it to them, they would say Exactly the same things that people say to them,, because guess what... they are only human, and most people dont care what their beleifs are. how dare they think people will die just because they say , im not interested, i have my own religion and im too busy,,,

whats the action plan for armogedon
by pippy injust wondering what the dubs will do if they think that armogedon is really starting... will they run for the hills,,, will they tape up their windows and stay inside with their 3 months worth of stored food??
will the elders one day anounce a secret location for them to all go to immediatly without telling any unbelievers where they are going???
i am always scared that one day my parents will disappear and i wont know how to rescue them ... though i spose if i was to rescue them , i should be doing it now ,, not sure they would come out happy at the end of the day though, so what do u do!!

the ones who didnt get further education in this system will have to get rid of the dead bodies after the birds have a feed, and the ones with uni degrees will get higher class jobs in their industry. so if you had human emotion you would feel upset if you had a crappy job.. if god took these feelings away , it would make them robots,,

What are the Elders thinking? What are JW's thinking?
by Fisherman inthere was a time when most jw's solemly believed that the "end" was comming in their life time, that the preaching work was a life saving work and the most important work on earth and that the wts was god's organization, god's agency, the only channel of communication on earth.
i think that most jws today somewhat still vagely believe that now but i wonder, what is going on in the minds and hearts of the jws today?
what is everyone thinking?

my dad is 84 and been a jw for 30 years,,, i said to him the other day ... as long as he is happy doing what he is doing , then its all good.. and he replied,, im not happy,,do u think i want to run around witnessing all the time,, im tired,,, i would rather not, but its what we must do to live...
poor thing,, he has not 1 other interest in life and is very bored,impatient and naggs alllllllllllll the time,,,
is disapointed in his family who are not jws, and greives all the time about loosing us all.
ripps my heart to pieces..

believing parents
by pippy inwhat on earth can you do when you r fatther keeps asking why you are not going to meetings,, my dad asks me every time i see him, .
i told my dad and mum that i didnt want to go back, that i didnt agree with the way i was treated, and everyother person ever to be on the wrong side of the fence.
he tells me i am bitter,and i should only think about nice things, and not dwell on the negative.

thanks daystar,, yes it is very hard when you know someone you love is displeased with you and there is nothing you can do about making them feel better about it.
i will take your advise because i think it is valid in saying he will probably not change, and if i help him to embrace what he believes it will keep him strong. After reading your post i realise i dont want to be the same as him and try to tell him his beliefs are wrong in any way, like he does to me,, so for his sake i will just let him be and try not upset him, or myself over it. i think i will tell him, everyone has to do things and progress in life in their own way,and thats just what i am doing,, even though i dont go to meetings i still do my best in sorting out lifes journey.. it sux though, because i feel free of them now, and happy with my life, but when i see him its like i constantly have to answer to his questions, and its a battle i dont want to fight.
