  German TV Magazine Covers JW Child Abus

  about 45min ago - on short notice -, german tv magazine kontraste ( http://www.kontraste.de) broadcasted a very well researched report on child abuse within the jw community.

  the report was only 10min long, but it was german prime time - the very first topic after the most watched daily news magazine.

  kontraste (contrasts) is very reputable tv magazine.. two victims were interviewed and a jw spokesman.

  Thanks German, I know that there are stories of child abuse in Germany and I hear of them when I go to visit my in-laws, but it is good to have it documented on television where others can see it too.

  but now she's gone ...... from breast cancer a couple of years ago.

  we prayed and prayed to jehovah in jesus' name: the "ask anything in my name" jesus.

  we asked jehovah, not to cure her miraculously, because that's what people pray for in tent revival meetings.

  I am so sorry to hear about your wife.

  I lost my husband to a disease just over a year ago and so I can imagine how you feel. Death is so final, so permanent, it's hard to come to grips with at times. Anyway, you will always have your memories and so she stays alive in your heart.

  Light your candle. If it gives you any peace at all, she would want you to have that.

  I can honestly say that I have some of the best kids in the world. I'm not kidding. They are great. When they were very little and they did things like reaching for the fire on the stove or sticking forks in electric outlets I would just remove them from that situation. I am not a hitting parent. I talk and reason. Of course, since all kids are different some of them got spoken to in a louder voice than others, but all in all it has worked and I am so proud of my successful, smart, beautiful children. So there.

  "My Child is Dead"

  this morning we published a very moving story written by a jehovah's witness whose 15-year-old son died supporting the watchtower's society blood policy.

  to the best of my knowledge, this is the first time a jw parent has gathered up the courage to face down this monstrous policy after losing their child.

  this is a very special person indeed and when we finally gather enough of these folks together and set them in front of the right attorney, the wts will be in for some serious litigation.. at present mary is in the midst of divorce from her jw husband and nailing down a custody agreement, so the identity of her and her son must remain anonymous.

  Hi Hawk, what if they find out that his death would have occurred whether or not he had a transfusion of blood. Does that really matter? It seems to me that what matters is that he was trained not to accept a blood transfusion and for that point alone the story is one that should give us pause. This story can also serve as a lesson to others who encounter emergencies and that lesson is that the watchtower has an indecisive blood policy, the blood policy that they teach is not biblical and if a transfusion of blood is the only thing that can save your life or that of a loved one, then put aside what you thought was the truth and preserve life.

  are you a jw or exjw who is being abused, or has been?................

  you have until you are 20yrs old, to report it, and sue for damages......... some lawyers suggest around $$$$450,000.......four hundred and fifty thousand us dollars............ because of all the damage they did to you..................... if you have all the facts, .........the names and places...........and it's all legit.............i suggest way more for damages......... to help correct the problem.

  there are some good lawyers on this site.

  Thanks Crawdad2, I realize that there are different circumstances, but sometimes people have gone to counseling because of mental stress caused by the abuse and so those records would be valuable. All cases are different. There are no cookie-cutter circumstances. Some people have been to therapy and some people have not. Each case must be taken on its merit. I was just listing some of the documentation and writings that would be helpful. Thats all. I am sorry if I upset you in any way. I was just trying to help.

  Crawdad: I'm just saying that hospital reports would be helpful, now wouldn't they? If you don't have them, there are other documentation that can be produced. Please stop screaming!
