What is the WTs latest stand on education/college?
by cyber-sista inmy jw niece quit college a short time ago and didn't finish her degree, which she seems very excited about and took on a menial job, which she doesn't too happy about, according to my father.
my father (not a jw) is wondering what happened and if it is possibly something "the church" is now promoting.
when my daughter went to a 2 year college i had some negative comments from those in the congo.

Oh.the wbts frown on higher education. As mentioned at C.O. visits.SAD days Circuit Ass.simplify go from door to door the best way of life.
What is funny they go to university campus' and will suck someone to come to the Kingdom Hall. Then they brag about all the love, best education.their ministry ed book second to none. The vast knowledge of the FDS .The R&F will comment about how useless higher education is because some with Masters degrees are working at McDonalds or some such place. They have wasted all the time and money some are in debt for $30,000 or more. And and and and they are not happy.
I wonder what the university student is thinking of all these weird comments.

If Jesus existed perhaps he only died for the Jews back then
by LouBelle inthis is just something i've been thinking about.
jesus was their messiah, he died for the jews back then and thus his "blood" doesn't automatically wipe out the sins of every human being.
we've got to take responsibilities for the sins we commit - so in order for "saving" we should "die" to the flesh every day.. thoughts?.

As I said on another post: John 3:16 anyone believing has everlasting life,That said.
1.So why does everyone die?Because the real Jesus' didn't die for mankind.
2.The Jews are still waiting for the Messiah because of 1 above.
3.The R.C. church has it right everyone has everlasting life but it's in heaven or hell.

"Until he arrives"
by sinis injesus, in luke is addressing the apostles and telling them to keep performing the ritual while they are still alive.
jesus mentions nothing about others outside of this scope to participate in the covenant.. luke 22:19-23 says, "also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: ?this means my body which is to be given in your behalf.
keep doing this in remembrance of me.?

My angle on this:John 3:16 For God love the world.......................gave his Son.......everyone not destroyed but have everlasting life(never coming to an end)."
1.If this is true, why do people die?Since Jesus gave his life for what Adam lost per wbts.
2.The Jews are right Jesus and/or the Messiah didn't come yet.
3.The R.C. are right, people have everlasting life but it's in heaven.

I have found a local editor that favors my letters - so.....
by AK - Jeff ini kind of submitted a 'closure' letter to the local jw's.
i don't actually know if it will be posted - but the local editor has printed all my past letters - and all of them have been far more critical and pointed than this one.
i think he will print it - we shall see.

Very good letter. The wbts hides behind the First Amendment (of the U.S. Constitution) rights:"Because the practice of shunning is part of the faith of the Jehovah's Witness."
I just wonder with all the liberal laws on hate crimes,if the wbts could not be charged .For hatred against persons on relgious grounds ie words/behaviour and/or verbal abuse or insults.

Watchtower 2008 dumb logic= "Belief in evolution makes you an orphan."
by Witness 007 inwatch, feb 1 2008 p.4 "if we really are the product of evolution and there is no creator, the human race would in a sense, be an orphan.
mankind would have no source of superior wisdom to consult- no one to help us solve our problems.
we would have to rely on human wisdom to avert enviromental disaster, to solve political conflicts, and to guide us through our personal crises.

If man waited on God to solve problems we would be riding asses like his son.If God is all wisdom, all knowing why didn't he send his son to earth in 2000 on AIRFORCE ONE.When we have T.V. Internet,Cellphones, radio.Just think of the inpact it would of had on people.Look at the impact of T.V. of 9/11.Everyone in the world got that scene imprinted on their minds.Who in the world has a scene imprinted on their mind of a supposely 2nd most inportant person in the universe riding an ASS.NO wbts you are in the asses age.

Jeff, excellent particularly Q11.If this preaching work about the kingdom was sooooooooo important. Why in hells half acre didn't the perfect man preach for 1000 thousand years.Maybe after 3 and 1/2 years he didn't convert anyone and gave up.
Now why does the wbts want 80 year old ladies going from D-D.What can they accompish but waste time and money.Would you want an 80 year old firefighting lady rescue from a burning building. For christ sake, oh forget it.

they make you feel guilty because you didn't auxillary pioneer when you knew you could've.. they make you feel bad about yourself for masturbating although they know everyone does it.. they try to make you feel bad because you didn't contribute as much money as you could because you went on vacation....and so forth.. isn't it great to not feel guilt anymore over these things???

Unconditional Givers Beware!
by R.Crusoe ini saw a number of converts to jw beliefs thinking it is a religion of unconditional giving and felt they could identify with that ethos!
a group who always give of themselves surely is full of loving kindness?
but the price is unseen and higher than anyone imagines.. it is only later that some realised the wts are unconditional receivers!.

The WBTS always say religions pass the collection plates,so what they(wtbts)pass the resolution plates. If the pastors drives a fancy car so what. It's the money people gave, they have the option of not giving any money. However, the R&F don't have an option if a resolution is passed.Talk of wbts scams, what about the district conventions and their hotel scam. The circuit assemblies in their K.H. and what they charge the members. The reason they build assembly halls so they would not have to rent facilities at a high cost.In some places the local elders can rent so called worldly facilities at a cheaper rate than that of a k.h.What about their false claim of Re-organization.Christian witnesses of Jehovah's Witnesess.Protection from law suits that is what it is.Vow of proverty, all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and they know how to hide it.And that is that.
