An observation on being free of WT busywork...

Undercover,you hit the nail right on the head.Active JW always saying I can't wait for the new system the end must be near.Only to see that they wasted their life and the end is not here.
It reminds me of a person who sits on his ass doing nothing hoping for things to inprove.He only dreams of big houses,going places,going to restaurants,etc,etc,only to grow old and not enjoy life.SO sad.

Time to go from Ministerial Servant to Elder
by garlic81 inwhat is the shortest timeframe you've seen for one to go from ministerial servant to an elder if he:.
is on good terms with all elders and the circuit overseer.gives the co a green handout to help out with his expenses on each visit.has the co over for a meal each visit.has phone number and email of co and communicates at least every other month - just to chat about how things are going, good service experiences, etc.
(as any other friend would.

When media says something (positive) about the wbts religion they like to praise it to high heaven,when the media says the truth about the wbts ex.child abuse then it's negative.
What gets me is how they phase words.EX.Q2 servants of Jehovah,Q3 Jesus...his followers.They inchange both like other religions inchange the trinity.

When he (wbts/gb) tells you something good or what he (wbts/gb) you believe it.If he(wbts/gb) points out something needing adjustment, even when offering you counsel."
Every time I hear words like adjusment,counsel etc.they say from God word which they equate to wbts/gb.

God is not a good Samaritan
by peacedog ini don't start threads very often, but yesterday i had something of an epiphany as i was doing some work in the yard.
deep in thought, as i usually am when doing mundane tasks, it occurred to me that while jesus encouraged us to be "good samaritans", god himself is not a good samaritan.
in the parable by jesus, a traveler is left beaten and robbed on the side of the road.

That is a true statement.How many years does it take,if god cares about mankind to take action.If he did provide mankind a savoir J.C. than why do we not have 1900 year old people.Also when J.C. came on the scene 2000 yrs ago there were approx.100 million people give or take a few mil.If the road to salvation is narrow and few finding it, as time goes on the poor good for nothing samariton will have to kill many many billions of people.So IF he was the good samariton he would of taking action.
Also what is wrong with living a good life and we die that is the END.Why bring the dead back to life only to kill them a 1000 yrs later.

Generation 'New Light' is Actually Working
by zoiks inas ridiculous as it seems to me and most of you, the infamous 'generation' update has every jw that i know in a tizzy.
they're all worked up about how 'exciting' it all is.
i just received a letter from my mom (she only communicates through letters now), and she brought it up - how they carefully explained it at the convention, and how it shows that we are so close to the end.. unbelievable.

TD I think you are correct.Also the WBTS said this overlapping GEN would be a short period of time.Could they be looking att a 120 year GEN or the start of the GT 2034.
