  Great idea for a billboard

  the kingdumb hall here in my area is right on a huge street with lots of traffic.

  there is an empty lot to one side with a billboard that can be seen from the street.

  if you are driving one way the bullboard is actually seen right in front of the kh....i wonder what it would take to advertise on the one side...its could say something like "are you the victim, or do you know victums of sexual child abuse?

  I like the idea of a big nice, "classy" sign (8'x6' or so) neon or ?,,maybe setup on the back of very nice truck parked in a great location by assembly halls/stadiums during district assemblies. Of course, someone would have to be there (to protect the sign), perhaps a city permit would have to be acquired. Standing there with just a little sign that not many could read wouldn't be my style.

  What would good signs say:

  KNOCKING is on PBS tonight- haven't decided on watching for wife's sake

  the wife will probably think that she should avoid it.

  but she would listen from the other room.. i haven't decided whether to watch it for her sake or not.

  How is it people like Engardio and Terrence Howard who speak so highly of JW world, don't have a life style of JW, but somehow feel some sanctification because they still think it is the "truth" or a good religion. I know of a few "JWs" who have seriously broken the law, in prison, but proudly state they would never speak against the "truth" and feel some degree of sanctification about that. Funny how the WTS's "best" media advocates both have a life style that JWs condemn. I believe if someone "publicly" advocates something then put your life where your mouth is and don't be a hypocrite!

  By the way, I have the "Knocking" DVD. I would be willing to send & pay postage, only if that person would be willing to "soon" watch & send (& pay postage) forward on to anyone else that would want to see it.

  they work hard and take care of their mothers.

  they are loving uncles and kind hearted.

  but they are 5'3', 290 lbs., bald at 35 and their personal interests are grounded in 3 stooges movies and star trek reruns.

  You men that think this would be a good idea/respectable for the men, then also will you be willing to offer your daughters/sisters to do the "good deed" for "man"-kind? How would the women fare, have respect, have a good future? Or would this have to be "other" people's daughters/sisters that you would offer?

  when i was in the borg, i had no idea of the stories my grandparents (both wwii vets) were telling me.

  now that i've done my tour, and can relate to some the stories that these 'weirdo war vets' have told me, i'm starting to get it.

  Judge Rutherford's Cadillac in Awake magazine

  i don't know the date but it must be in the jan issues of the awake magazine between 1999-2004. it mentioned the subject of automobiles and it had a photo of a 16 cylendar cadillac and the man next to is no other than judge rutherford himself.

  has anyone seen that article?

  the watchtower society said the following as part of their media statement concerning the recent multi-million dollar settlement of 16 child abuse court claims: .

  and we will continue to do our utmost to protect children from this horrible crime and sin.

  how utterly abysmal is the society's failure to follow their own advice.

  I am sorry you may feel unwanted JG,,you are wanted very much here, only the XJW world for the most part can only be a "link" to your next path. XJWs are not "cookie-cut" like JWs and that's a good thing. That's why it's comical when JWs accuse or feel so threatened that XJWS are trying to get individual JWs to leave JWdom and follow XJWs, because most of us are not going to "follow" anyone anymore, hopefully. It's up to every one of us to find ourselves and build a true life and fulfillment. As JWs we were always "waiting" for Paradise to give us true life & fulfillment.

  From their own words, they "did only what they ought to have done",,as individuals some JWs have a humanitarian spirit (but many, other than individual JWs do too) and that is wonderful. If the WTS as an organization helps in any disaster relief on an occasion it is still only a token as their "organization skills" are very primarily used for their "own" works, their literature distribution and meetings. They are not a disaster relief organization and never will be. Always, if you give to an organization, check their financials first and where does the money really go.

  i applaud the outcome that love/norris accomplished for the sixteen victims of abuse.. but, i have a concern.

  it is this: for the rank and file jw, won't they view this as their "faithful and discreet" slave just got beat up by those awful apostates (associating this with the silent lambs group) ?.

  i feel for some jws who are "sitting on the fence" to use their term that hopefully they will think long and hard about what is happening in the organization - considering the facts.. what do you think?.

  The Catholics with their "pedolfile priest" issue are still Catholics,,recent poll still shows some increase there. It has cost the Catholic church money but of course the Catholic church has a lot of money so the Church still is going relatively strong. I have intelligent Catholic friends undaunted, still loyal to their church ways. So, most JWs, won't care about this issue. Some, who are "on the fence" it will rattle. Things or truths happen in life, & people have to make a decision on their stance. The youths of JWs pay the big price of JWdom in so many ways!
