  I want to thank you

  few of my threads get to 3 pages of responses and i suspect that i am the one who pushes it by responding to everyone.

  who posts.. but i know people read my posts.. there have certainly been times when i needed the support and got it.

  but those times are fewer now.. sometimes i feel like i am repeating myself and i probably am.

  Truly, I want to thank you. There is such a need for this site..Some, like you, are so informational. So many like you, have understanding with encouragement for ones to feel supported and to be able to move on in a positive attitude for their life. This is a group where people are, that have survived the destructive spirit and negative life-style of JWs and are here for the ones coming out, it seems more and more. Hopefully with this source here with you and others, that people can come through it all faster and better.

  I just heard of more organizational changes...........

  so a good friend of mine e-maild me today with this information.

  aparently brother hurd says as of 2010 all the magazine printing and distribution will be moved to canada.

  the only printing the us will do is the books.

  I know the organization would just say there is so much work to do now more so in this time of the end. I know the national economics is mega strained. But with all that, it seems the WTS is frantic, manic. Changes just flying in the wind. Big moves here and moves there to save a tax here, get around a law there, down-size here, drop long-timer volunteers here and there. They can always get free labor anywhere to support their mania.

  They are just spinning in their wheels. The organization has so many corporations and separate names that even JWs don't even know. The leadership is "helter-skelter."

  And wasn't Spain printing branch dismantled due to Spain government wanting pensions provided for Bethelites by Society. It's awesome the governments care about the health care and pensions, and eventual old age of JWs... Certainly the Watchtower Society doesn't, only preaches the governments are going to be destroyed soon.

  My experience at the District Convention today - Appreciate your comments

  i know i am the one to constantly harp on this board how the organization has lost its "swagger" and the baptism and attendance is going down, and people are waking up.. not so fast.. the audience cried, i mean a lot of people cried when they played some of the songs from the new songbook.

  some had bethel singers who sounded pretty good singing them.

  so many after the program were saying how touched they were.. then the new release of the book showing how the book of acts prefigures the organization today.

  and who was this Slave prior to the

  1970s. You'll get a bunch of blank

  stares like you're asking a stupid

  question that has no answer

  (sorry-just quoting)Same thing happened to me, I asked (concerned that I might be out of place to even ask) and only got blank faces, got a couple names (Knorr & Fred Franz) and then only guesses - and that was at Bethel when I was called in there in 1969.

  My JW daughter getting married June 6th

  tomorrow, or when ever you read this, june 6th, my jw daughter gets married.

  i have thought about it since hearing she was getting married.

  but i somehow cannot bring myself to go.

  Wow, Gordy, I think it would speak, without words, quite greatly & strongly for you to go with your five non-JW children, to sit there all together, with love and closeness and smiles, not anything defiant or critical. Take pictures and try to act like this is not a problem for you, even though it will be difficult and remember it is "her" day, and you should share that day with her even if it is from a little distance. Your daughter will know you all were there for her.

  Families are forever, I believe, even if there's some spots that don't go well and even though the Watchtower Society wrench families apart. It would be a sincere hope that maybe another time it could be different. We never know. It certainly would perplex her and all the others to see you and your other children there and in good spirit. You are her father, no matter, always and forever, and everyone will only see the elder that walks her down the aisle is only a 'fake' dad.

  Please go and let us know if you do go. If you don't go, at least, send her card of your well wishes and unconditional love forever.

  The League of Apostate Pioneers

  recently it's come to my attention that the other teens in my congragation are being pressured by their parents to pioneer.

  the main problem is that, like me, they're all "apostates".

  because of this amusing turn of events, i'm thinking about starting my own apostate pioneering group with them.

  I am glad you have a league of your own, that you have friends that you can be honest with, share your circumstance with, even laugh with. I hope you can create a PLAN, but not pioneering though, such a waste of energy. Can you talk with a counselor at school to help you get into college, dorm, financial aid, grants and loans? Is there any supportive relative that can help you?

  I wish the best for you. Be safe, be true to yourself, and hold on to your free mind.

  Joel Engardio is gay as noted here in his story. He praises and respects JWs how they have fought in the courts for their freedom and liberty and US laws require tolerance toward JWs,,Joel believes this in part opened and created stepping stones for other minority groups, including gays.

  However, Joel never became a baptized JW. Well, he and we know why. He was never baptized because he knew what would happen to him in the JW culture. He would not be tolerated, he would be ostracized, disfellowshipped, expelled, shunned. His mother would never be allowed to speak with him then. So he beat the JW system and now he can be a practicing gay, praised by the Watchtower Society for his film and his mother can still speak with him. My issue is not against gays but how can one so praise JWs and know the truth about JWs that they are intolerant of all religions, all politics, and gay groups and totally ostracize their own that have grown up in it if they choose to believe differently. I disrepect him for not informing the "full" story of JWs, and he only painted a slanted story through rose-colored glasses.
