DJS, it's great to hear from ones long time out of the organization,, moved on, yet show up here from time to time. I have been out since mid-80s, moved on,,my immediate family all out and all 5 children. But I am glad to come on here some, to add my little 2 cents worth occasionally. But the organization had a big impact to my life,, had bitter-sweet parts on leaving, but so sweet in long run. I now like being a little pro-active in the exposure of the WTS when I can; here, add to any open comments in news related articles, and a little on Facebook.

Maybe many see the need for improvements,,however, the GB only re-states and re-states "wait on Jehovah." Maybe that's what many are doing.
I saw the need for many, to much more, than improvements in the '80s, glad I did not wait on men. They have to finally ask themselves, are they waiting on God - or men (the GB)? I am not so knowable about much, but clearly if "love" is not among them, then neither is God.

Odd KH Wedding
by earthfire inmy youngest sister was married last sunday and i was actually invited.
not to the reception of course but all of us ex-jw relatives had our own party so it was still a great family reunion!
i'm one of 6 siblings (2 step siblings, 1 half, and 2 whole :-) anyway, this was not my first time going to a wedding of a sibling and being an ex-witness.

Are there other congregations sharing the Hall and using it on Saturday? Isn't 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen enough? Is that considered small and simple now-a-days? To me, that is more than enough.

Update on Candace Conti case...
by Newly Enlightened init looks like candce's lawyer is pulling the same thing wtbt$ does.
respondant did not file their brief on time:.

The Court gave this kind of extra stretch for WTS last time. So would seem Candace Conti can do the same. Anyway, the interest is accruing the longer this case drags out. I suspect this "Appeals" part could go till the end of this year at least?

were friendships in other congregations discouraged?
by hoser ini had a good friend with a lot of common interests but he was in a congregation about 40 miles away.
we did a lot together with both of our families.
until we had a local needs part about association with ones not in our own congregation.

another sad rule for the youth. Many congregations do not have much of a selection within.

2034 is going to be a huge letdown for the dubs
by wha happened? ini've seen a few postings of a possible "next date" for dubs of 2034. based on an article they published comparing the last days to the days of noah.
preaching for 120 years.
however, i noticed a little tidbit from wiki about age:.

I think I am older than all of you, certainly the most. So I don't look forward to 2034. I don't dare hope for so much but I am blissfully happy to hear at least most youth are leaving. I am happy to see Internet with sites galore exposing the WTS and hearing of the 'drain' happening, and baptisms decreasing. I do hope to watch its decline as long as I live. I stand back and enjoying the fragmentation of the WTS like this:
