  Could Watchtower Collapse Be Sooner Than You Think?

  there have been a number of developments over the past few months and they paint an interesting picture.. witnesses can keep dragging themselves to meetings ad infinitum however, the future of the watchtower itself is another story.

  the evidence of continuing cash flow problems is now overwhelming.

  if you talk to well placed witnesses, most won't deny it but simply blame it on the publishers financial problems.. they have cut off loans to congregations many of whom genuinely need new kingdom halls.

  There does seem to be a 'frantic mania' there at the top. Their rank & file members are totally unaware though. Their leaders are not creative there to adjust financially without only burdening their members more. For years the arrogant GB were only building up materially, even having constant tours of their grand buildings and printing, though preaching the 'end.' It is nice to see them finally reaping what they have been sowing all these years.

  My SIL's dad is dying right now

  and it is so sad, and so hard.

  this is the one thing about losing my religion that has been the hardest for me.

  it was so wonderful believing a person goes to sleep, a hope of waking up to a wonderful new world.

  My mom died in 1970 (she was 43 then) due to cancer. Of course, I was told she would come back in the resurrection soon. That, eventually became irritatingly empty to me. I now choose to believe she has already gone on to a better life long ago, not waiting in the ground of emptiness all this time (even though she believed in the JW earthly hope) .

  as far as god/satan type a thing.... a. i don't think i believe the bible is from god.. b. ying/yang type a thing.

  god and satan are equal in power and god owns heaven and satan owns earth.

  god can't do anything about suffering, etc because they are equal in power.. c. we go to heaven after we die.. see?

  I've decided to be a "simple" Christian, maybe somewhat "simpleton",,no doctrines; love, joy and peace parts only,,just try to do good best I can,,want to believe my loved ones that have passed have gone already on to a better place, of which I don't have any much clue about. When I was a JW I found people like me so exasperating, but I find it rather nice for me now.

  A former Bethelites SAD testimony at the convention

  i was just typing some of the sessions out for someone (long story), but i heard the tesitmony again, of one of the brothers, who had served at bethel for 12 years.

  the thing that was surprising, was that it was not a joyous testimony.

  you can actually hear his sadness, and his voice breaking a few times, when he recounts coming back to "the system" (real world) from bethel, and being completely unprepared and untrained for a job, or to earn a living.

  Since his intonation and presentation sounded depressed, hopefully it gave a few young people some second thoughts on Bethel and pioneering. Hopefully, some young people will choose college instead.

  the other day a young jw girl about 17 or 18 knocked on my door with liture for there convention.

  she was a real doll.

  she was wearing sandles with painted toe nails and great looking green eyes.

  at someone's suggestion, i tried calling a few phone numbers to get more detailed convention info.

  i kind of want to tape the rest, it feels so incomplete, and i wanted to hear the rest for my own research.

  basically i wanted to know which one a certain congregation would be attending.

  It does seem at a couple other assemblies listed recently that baptisms were very low for district conventions.
