  for those of you who either didn't have time to read amazing's amazing threads on the child abuse issue:.

  he was in court and interrogated by the witchtower attorneys, even asked for his social security number, and quizzed on lying testimony they claimmed to have about "sins" which he had never committed.. here it is:.

  the watchtower attorney grilled me about my internet activity: they asked for my screen name on jwd (now jwn) ... yep ... they are watching ... and they watch other ex-jw sites ... i have more to say on this another time.

  This is my name with my picture, with my 4 siblings. My 5 children are out. However, I left 20+ yrs ago . All my immediate family are out. Still in, are only long-distance ex-in-laws and some siblings' in-laws. So, I am free to be more public, thankfully, but that also took time. It's wonderful to yell out "F-R-E-E-D-O-M!!!" and it's not our last breath!! I like to come on here to follow-up on news items regarding the organizaton and sometimes to leave a comment.

  It is so exasperating to see how the GB don't really deal with real issues, they make their own unreal issues!! How many months of Wednesdays spending a couple hours did they spend on this! This is just an example of their flip-flop ability of "new light" and then after so many years they'll spend more of their empty time to flip-flop this back.

  Just a simple statistical question on the blood issue -

  i was driving to work monday and the local oldies rock station had on a public service ad for the local blood bank...mentioning a dallas lady who had to have an emergency caeserian section, but they were able to save both her and the baby.

  it required several units of blood.. it set me to thinking - what if???.

  what if the entire united states were placed under jw "theocratic" law and every single person was denied a blood transfusion option?

  If 4.5 million American are saved each year out of 306M Americans, that percentage would come to 1.47%, right?

  Then, annually, out of 1M (publisher) American JWs,( not counting even very young and infant non-publisher JW children) 'potentially' (x 1.47%) 14,700 having a need of a blood transfusion, annually. How many of these die?

  Worldwide, out of 7M JWs (again not counting the very young children), at 1.47% ratio, 102,900.

  Is this right,,is this possible??

  My JW parents met my wife, but would not see me...

  so it was time for the 25 year reunion of tawas area high school's class of '84.

  because i was class president, i've been responsible for throwing all the reunions we've held.

  while i come to michigan on business a few times per year, i don't usually make it all the way up to the little, northeast, lake huron tourist town where they live.

  Wow . . . . . you have certainly proved yourself to be the better person. You will always be glad you showed them love and how you have gone on with a very positive life. It is pitiful of them in their sadness at this point in their life certainly but they have made their choice.

  Unfortunately, they follow a group of men (GB) who most have never had children and yet they (GB) have the audacity to make extreme rules for children and to enforce their ruling of their followers to shun their own (grown) children when those have grown and have been able to develop their own 'free mind' and personal conscience.

  By the way, you are a beautiful couple and so many best wishes!

  What the Family Worship Evening Arrangement Really Entails

  as most people here know the combined book study allows an evening for "family worship".. the co visits march - august 2009 is really focussing on this.

  if a jdub family head doesn't do a full evening of family worship and uses this time to do recreational activities he is as guilty as isrealite who didn't use the sabbath for worship.

  the result, will of course be same as the unfaithful isrealite, death!!!!!!!!!

  i recall the 'core' families that made up our little congregation in the 60's and 70's.

  i had not thought about it, but the very vast majority of those families have left zero members carrying on the 'legacy' of the 'troof'.

  here is the way it breaks down - the names have been changed to protect the innocent [or guilty].. the colsons in 1970 - dad, mom and two sons.

  MY APOLOGIES TO ALL

  looking back over the last few weeks, i think i've been unnessarily rude to some posters and i just want to apologize to anyone who has been on the receiving end of my anger recently.. i believe that i'm so angry, dismayed, devastated and heartbroken over what's happening to my brother in law, that i've been taking it out on others and that's not right.

  it makes absolutely no difference what i think of the wts as a whole, or whether or not americans have a universal healthcare system......none of that makes any difference whatsoever when someone you love and has been like your brother for 35 years is dying and there's not a fucking thing we can do about it.. my sister just called me and there's more bad news, and that's that his disease has now progressed into the acute myeloid leukemia which means he cannot start the therapy they were going to give him, as this is far more serious now.

  they want to start chemo right away, but his blood counts aren't up high enough for him to survive.
