This one aswell. I got sick of em churning out so much shite about how important it was to attend meetings and that silly scriture about 'one day in your courtyard is better than a thousand elsewhere' .

Elders are the "glorious ones, " appointed by Holy Spirit, and worthy of double honor. All BS, of course.
I have to agree with you mate . They were always patting themselves on the back all the time, i found it nauseating in the end.
right now, the wt is publishing their "very soon" series of the awake!.
soon - an end to suffering.
the articles are the typical "why does god permit suffering", followed by the issue of universal soverignty, the fall of adam and eve and a concluding "very soon now god's kingdom will bring an end to worldly governments.".
Dont forget the WT blaming everything on the also!
so i was (attempting) to work on my car the other day when a few 17,18 or 19 year old white kids walked past.
now we have come to call this group of kids 'the gangster boys', 'street rats' and of course, 'chav brigade'.
i don't know what it is like in other places in the world, but here in the uk, gangster boys are breeding at alarming rates.
My daughters joined a gang called the Jehovah's Witnesses; but they don't call it a gang. They call it "The Great Crowd". They're waiting for God to kill everyone (that aren't witnesses) at Armageddon.
i can't read every post about how all you x jw's went to the memorial.
and i don't know how many here still think they are christians?
but i interested to know if anyone did the christian thing and followed the commandment of jesus.
i didnt go. I cant stand to be in the same room as them lot and i'm not sure i even believe in Jesus anymore so what would be the point of going?
i haven't had chance to post on jwd recently but reading some posts the last few months it seems that many friends on the board are going through rough times because of the jehovah`s witness cult.
my heart goes out to them and hope everything turns out well especially those who have been rejected by spouses, children and family or maybe have the prospect of being shunned if they act according to their conscience.
i don't know what`s going on at the meetings as i haven't set foot in one for 4 years but it seems jw's are being whipped up into another armageddon frenzy and are therefore putting pressure on ex-jw's to rejoin.

i have lots of questions.. first of all, she willing inquired about some christian books i have and is currently reading them.
both have to do with purity but i am sure she would notice some theological differences when she reads them.
Regarding the WT being the voice of God: Yeah, that's pretty much it. If you disagree with any JW doctrine after you're baptized, you can be disfellowshipped for apostasy
Yes thats right you can speak against God, but if you speak against the WT Org you get disfellowshipped

I never understood why you had to be chapperoned when dating or had to go out as a group of people. I dated a couple of times in the truth but i always felt uncomfortable with somebody else there. This rule to me seems silly & unnecessary.
i strolled over to the "book search" computer, and typed in "jehovahs witnesses".. i got 84 hits !!!!!
a few repeats, but at least 60 hits were different book titles, all against the watchtower society.
this was very impressive!!
