How did the first Century congregation fall into apostasy if it had Jehovah's blessing?
Follow up with: How would you identify if the Witnesses had lost Jehovah's blessing?
Pretty much any answer they give to the first question hangs themselves for the second one.

If you could ask an elder your questions
by Heather inwhat question do you want to ask or have you asked that would stump or have stumped an elder?
i'm in the position where my mom wants me to come back and wants me to have my questions answered (even though she has dodged most of mine) so that i will once again see its the truth and want to return.
so i'm going to set a meeting with an elder to see if he would be willing to attempt to answer some of my questions to prove to me beyond a doubt that i'm in the wrong.

Prince Harry not going to Iraq.................
by fifi40 inwhilst the rest of harry's regiment has been deployed to iraq, harry will not go, because the threat posed to him and those serving alongside him is 'unacceptable'.
militant groups are reported to have planned to either kidnap or kill him.. needless to say some british families are asking the question why should their loved ones have to go out to serve, why is he special.
it is answered with the emphasis being on the threat to those serving alongside prince harry.. what is your opinion?.

Needless to say some British families are asking the question why should their loved ones have to go out to serve, why is he special.
Seeing how their loved ones won't be targeted now with the sole reasoning that "Hey, we might kill Prince Harry!" one would think they'd be happy. -

Scary Maze
by Yizuman inok this is a very good game, this game gets pretty hard at each level, but it's pretty simple to play.. .
you run your mouse in the maze box, you do not want to touch the walls inside the maze.
you left click the mouse button and hold it until you reach the red square at the end of the maze, then let go of the mouse button and the red box will light up.

Athiests
by BR25 insorry if i that is the wrong spelling.
i just want to say that i used to be judgemental of athiests, but as a jw backer everyone on here finds nothing but wrong doing with the orginizations.
well i am sure i can find wrong doing with other churches and their teachings as well.

I would say the most balanced award goes to Agnostics. I've seen some atheists go on some pretty impressive tirades trying to disprove a diety. However, I've never encountered an agnostic intent on converting others to Agnosticism.

Can God see the future?
by Adolfius ini've been out a while, but i remember thinking about this as a teenager and being confused, (my mother told me i must be posessed by demons to think such things and so never offered me an explanation).
what do the jws say about it.
if jehovah can see into the future, he would've known what a mess he was going to make of creation so he would've decided against it before he even thought of it.. based on the theory that he went ahead and created everything anyway, that must mean he can't see into the future.. i also seem to remember that god doesn't interfere with man, because we have free will, so all our actions are down to us and in no way "steered" or "influenced" by god.. so how can he make predictions about the future, i.e.

No, because the manufacturer had no idea how you were going to drive, where or when or what other external factors you would encounter.
To the contrary, they assume that people are going to have accidents. That is why we have ABS brakes, air bags, crumple zones etc.
Buy putting in these features, they are assuming that each and every driver has the potential to crash.
My point was, God may have the ability to predict the future at will, rather than omniscience of all time, past and future. If God was really omniscient, that would mean that he didn't have free will either, so how could you blame him? He'd just be a slave to time like the rest of us. -

Did you make a new religion for yourself?
by White Dove ini'm associating with a church that i like very much, however, i find some things hard to digest, like jesus resurrecting himself.
i think the father did that, not him.
anyway, i am thinking that i can just keep associating for social reasons and some religious ones while reading the bible and having my own beliefs based on how i understand the bible and not blindly believe doctrine just because a big church teaches it.

What convinces you that the bible is the correct foundation for your religious beliefs?
Anytime you start researching with a bias, the end results have already been tainted. The thing that most people miss when going on a religious hunt is that they go looking for the God they created. Few go looking for God, willing to accept what form he is in.
Most just want God to be convenient to their own beliefs and schedule.
