everybody, here is the website... losttombofjesus.com.
these are great sites and everyone is trying to decipher the family crest above the tomb.. i believe jesus was married and had a wife and kid.
and he is buried with his wife, son, mother ,father and brothers.
We must not forget the reason why there were guards placed in front of the tomb over 2000 yrs ago. They were afraid people were going to steal the body of Christ because of the claims Jesus was making about himself.. He was quite a contraversial man.
We must not forget that over 500 people gave account in the scriptures that he rose from the dead.
I personally don't believe this is the tomb of Christ because his body is supposedly in there.
Scripture teaches Jesus conquered death and rose in bodily form. It wasn't a spiritual resurrection. His physical resurrection is the reason why we Christians celebrate new life in Christ.
Think about it, even over 2000 yrs later we are still celebrating his resurrection. People for centuries have lost their lives over it.
So this little media claim doesn't shake my faith in the least. Nor does it peak my curiousity because it simply doesn't line up.
we spend about $500 per month.
that's with a family of three, two adults and one small child.
included in that is dog and cat food, and other household items many people buy at the grocery store, such as shampoo, detergent, paper products etc.
Geez, we just figured this out recently and have made some changes this month. Up until recently, we have been spending approximately $950.00 a month on food and household items. Crazy! Now I don't shop in our little small town grocery store and I make a trip to Costco each week. It takes quite a chunk out of my day but it is worth it.
We have a family of 2 adults, 3 pre-teens and a baby.
every where you live, the local area has something about it that is either famous for something good or something bad.
as an example, you go to one town and it may have the historial site of a famous war battle.
you go to another an it might be the place something was invented, or the birthplace of someone famous.
I am from the Long Beach Peninsula in WA state. This is where Lewis and Clark ended up on their expedition. It's a BIG deal around here.
tonite was one of those nights.
the stress of the last month or so just finally got to me.
i had a trying day at work today.
BB, I know your pain. I truly know it and have lived it. I am sorry you are hurting. Sometimes men just don't think those days are so special to us. I don't understand the 'why' of it all or if it even is just men. Maybe it's just people in general that can be pretty thoughtless and insensitive.
Have you tried marriage counceling? Maybe a romantic weekend getaway where just the 2 of you can escape and work on just the 2 of you? Sometimes life gets in the way and a relationship can get stale...quick. 16 yrs is a long time (I'm there too) and we can look at our spouse and wonder who they are.
Kidnap him for a romantic weekend and get to know one another again without the pressures of work and everday life.
For men it's always sex. For women....it's soooooo much more than that...
recently i have been reading a book, nearly done now, called "under the banner of heaven".
it is about some fundamental mormons (the ones who practice polygamy andwho are not accepted as lds among regular members of the slc based church.. in this book, while explaining the attempted insanity plea for a fundy lds murderer, they had several psychiatrists (both lds and non lds) explaining insanity.
the argument i thought was interesting was when the defense brought up his very unorthodox beliefs (they sounded nutty to me-and would be considered so by most lds folks also).
Count me in as one of the crazy insane religious people.
But I'm a happy nut.
Not a lone ranger happy nut. I belong to a bowl full of them!
Some people call it a Jesus Freak.
several years ago when i first started looking at tinternet i was still reticent to look at anything that may be taken as 'apostate'.
so typing in 'jehovahs witnesses' was not for me just yet.
however one little belief of theirs had always troubled me.
Isn't there a comma issue when Jesus is on the cross and he said to the one guy that he would be in paradise with him. I thought there was a debate about WHEN he would be in paradise based on some comma placement.
first of all, i'd like to sincerely thank all of you who responded to (and called me, and p/m'd me) about my recent thread (read: blind raging rant).. i've had more time to think about why i reacted, and felt, the way i did, and i've talked to my closest friends, and i chose to start this separate thread because what i felt has more to do with jw/exjw/christian upbringing than the particular circumstances in which my rage was induced.. simply: my rage was because a raw nerve had been touched, a nerve that i thought i had long since healed---the feeling that nothing i do is ever good enough!!.
i remember that feeling as a jw: now a publisher, but, that's not good enough...you must put in more time.
now a vacation pioneer, but, that's not good enough...you must now become a regular pioneer.
Hey, didn't read your other thread but picked up on a few things that made me want to post here. I am a Christian and lately learned a lot of things that really have challenged me in how I identify myself as a believer.
Recogizing ourselves as a sinner is only the beginning. It certainly isn't the end of the revelation...it's the beginning. That is when life begins. Our identity changes upon the recognition of needing a Savior and receiving Jesus as our Savior....yes, from our sins. Then we stand cleanses and forgiven. We don't have to walk with our heads hanging down and constantly beat ourselves as if we aren't good enough.
If you were the ONLY person on earth, God would have still sent His Son. You are that awesome and loved. The question is, "Who do you identify yourself with?" The old sinner self or the person who is renewed within because of what Christ did on the cross?
It's a great revelation and healing when we realize how important we are to God and that He doesn't turn His back on us because we aren't "good enough". It's freeing to know there is NOTHING more that we can do to receive MORE love.
He simply loves us unconditionally and completely as we are.

i crack my neck and spine several times a day.
I do but I notice as I have gotten older I can't twist my back around like I use to. I also can only crack one side of my neck. Anyone else know why this happens?
