  Very good quote coco, it is a shame they have fallen into the trap that the first Society Pres said has caused the apostasy. He probably wouldn't be witness today how it all worked out, thanks

  Pep talk needed...

  i have been nervous about this for 6 months and now the time has come.

  my kids are coming by plane to see me on the 25 of dec to jan 3. they are good little jw's.

  i am no longer a follower of jw.. i havn't been with them for 2 years.

  You said they are good lil JW's. I have seen many a good JW's and it is not always what we think. You may be pleasantly surprised at what they feel and think. I would ask them questions WITHOUT them feeling like they are being interogated, but you might be surprised on how they feel, don't be nervous, their thinking may be more in line with yours than you think. Who knows what is in the heart of a person, and yet at the same time being young don't try to confuse them anymore then what they probably are. Love is the key, no matter what religion or belief one has, love cannot be misinterpreted, show love it never fails.

  ok... something strange is going on here - what is it?

  i just stepped down as an elder back in early november - and basically have a wife who has her hooks so far in the organization that i thought she would never bend... you know the drill - many family members in the truth - raised in the truth, etc..... well... last night we had a heart to heart about the doubts that i have been having, why i stepped down, and what i think will be a fair an equitable solution to the handling of our two kids.

  it was like my coming our party - she completely bent on everything... she was completely understanding about my stance on everything, and although she does not agree - she does agree to not fight me on everything.

  Bizfan, I hope it works out for you, I went through a very familar situation, my ex turned me in after she left for apostsy, divorced me and she had the same statements as your wife. Either way you will have light at the end of the tunnell, I pray that it is the light that you and your family deserve. I wish you the best.

  Just a thougth from Ps 15: 1, 2

  1 O Jehovah, who will be a guest in your tent? Who will reside in your holy mountain?

  2 He who is walking faultlessly and practicing righteousness
  And speaking the truth in his heart.

  Even if you get caught, at least you know that you were true to your heart and being a guest with the Most High, not a bad trade off

  this is something i think i can say to the two elders that might eventually meet with me.

  because i am not going out in service and miss many meetings, and because they were.

  instructed to "snatch me out of the fire" by the wts headquarters when i resigned as an .

  Great point OntheWayOut, yes is is that simple in a normal mind, yes it that simple in a logical one, yes it is that simple if you were fair. But don't expect that you are dealing with any of the above. You will see most likely. Ok, if you don't want to play by my rules, then I am going to take my ball and go home. You will mostly likely get to know what being 3 points means, when you get kicked through the uprights.

  i have done my share of sleeping at conventions with the elbow in the side, same ol same ol.

  you would know which scripture was coming before they ever said it.

  do jw's agree with romans 6:16 that if one obeys someone they are slaves of the one they are obeying?.

  romans 6:16 says, "do you not know that if you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of that one you obey either of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness?

  the watchtower society's daily text for monday december 18, 2006 says, "similarly, we will be blessed if we recognize and obey the prophet greater than moses, jesus, as well as "the faithful and discreet slave" appointed by him.".

  Excellent point Honesty, there is no gray matter and the insidious wording of the lit many witnesses do not know that they are be trained to serve two and that by their listening to literture over the Bible that they are making the choice to serve man. This is one of the fundemental reasons why I read only the Bible as My authority. If I am going to err, then I am going to err by only following the words of my Lord and forget the man made form of wisdom and religion. Very good point and yet sad that as the other posts admit, the average witness just doesn't see it. abr

  Dansk, I have just read your post on torn apart and my heart goes out to you. I likewise pray for you and your family, the org has ripped apart family after family. I am sorry to hear the pain that you are going through. May God bless you and your family for your stong stand for truth.
