  What i miss from being a dub

  these are the things i remember always looking forward to as a dub and when they happened it was great.. last day of convention/assemblyend of the meetingend of the ministrywhen an event was interrupted thus endingif i had a responsibility to escape the mind-numbing boredomif a visiting speaker failed to make it for the sunday meeting and it only included the watchtowerwhen the sunday watchtower was just question & answer cos of the c.o visit, pity he then wasted all that saved time.no ministry after sunday meeting cos of some reasonwhen i faked illness or even death to get out of meetings/ministry etc

  They ought to practice that, if this were true why do the DF people for not going along with them in their teachings

  "The Streets Is Hard, they don't understand that innit"

  so i was (attempting) to work on my car the other day when a few 17,18 or 19 year old white kids walked past.

  now we have come to call this group of kids 'the gangster boys', 'street rats' and of course, 'chav brigade'.

  i don't know what it is like in other places in the world, but here in the uk, gangster boys are breeding at alarming rates.

  These kids have the wrong heroes, they are not heroes at all but rather people that got lucky with music, they set the wrong message and these kids just gobble it up.

  I watch some of these kids here in the US, I look at them and shake my head and wonder if it is not Oct 31st everyday in there home. They also dont know how hard the streets are because most of them never hit them, they are still feeding off mommy and daddy like a blood sucking leech. If on there on, they wont be able to afford their little get ups.

  Daniel 9:24-27

  24 “There are seventy weeks that have been determined upon your people and upon your holy city, in order to terminate the transgression, and to finish off sin, and to make atonement for error, and to bring in righteousness for times indefinite, and to imprint a seal upon vision and prophet, and to anoint the Holy of Holies. 25 And you should know and have the insight [that] from the going forth of [the] word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem until Mes·si´ah [the] Leader, there will be seven weeks, also sixty-two weeks. She will return and be actually rebuilt, with a public square and moat, but in the straits of the times. 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Mes·si´ah will be cut off, with nothing for himself.“And the city and the holy place the people of a leader that is coming will bring to their ruin. And the end of it will be by the flood. And until [the] end there will be war; what is decided upon is desolations. 27 “And he must keep [the] covenant in force for the many for one week; and at the half of the week he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease. “And upon the wing of disgusting things there will be the one causing desolation; and until an extermination, the very thing decided upon will go pouring out also upon the one lying desolate.”

  And I really wonder why there was such a long wait for his arrival. What purpose did it serve? What were humans supposed to be figuring out? Like right now everyone is waiting for all this stuff to happen for his reign.

  Nothing like time to settle EVERYTHING, I always try to remember that even though it has taken so long to this point and we are still not there for now. Man has only suffered one lifetime, no one person has suffered for all these thousands of years.

  I think there has to be some physical attraction but I also believe the older you get the more you know what you are looking for

  Everyone wants to meet someone who says and does everything right but that just don't happen. Women have been put down for thousands

  of years and when they get a guy who treats them right I think looks are not that important then but still there must be some attraction.

  Getting nervous

  i feel like i need to spill my feelings.

  after lurking on the site, i realize my story is like many here.

  the reason i am feeling nervous is that i have not broken the news to my parents yet about my inactivity as well as my standing as to what i think about this whole thing.

  Welcome FourMs, glad that you joined and no story is too long when it is your intro to the forum, stick around and you will get plenty of advise on what to say and how to when it comes to your parents.

  As much as I feel good about my decisions as of late, I am still a little nervous to tell my parents the whole truth. I did not go to memorial for the first time. My parents don’t know that yet. I assume I will not tell them everything , as I am sure that will get me in trouble with my local elders here.

  Why do you feel the need to tell your parents at this age of 32? Unless they are paying all your bills, why do they need to know anything, No disrespect toward them or you. The Bible says, in Matt 19, this is why a man (woman) leaves his mother and father and they become one flesh. If they ask, you are more scripturally obligated to speak to your husband and answer to him as he answers to you. NOT THE PARENTS ANYMORE

  They have been at my door about every other day. I’m sure they are just trying to corner me, but I don’t want to play their game. I don’t think they have the right to df me as I am not a threat to anyone and have done no wrongdoing.

  Don't give any info out about yourself or intentions to anyone but here, they will use whatever they can to scare you into submission and going back.

  As far as my parents go, there is always that little nagging in my head that tells me I am disappointing them. It’s weird and hard to explain, but don’t you always feel like you want to please your parents?

  Parents know this and it is one of the things as humans that we go through life trying to please our parents and giving up things for ourselves in an endless pursuit of their approval.

  The DC Insert was always a bore, eat where we tell you, stay at this hotel so our non-working Bethelites can get free rooms no matter how much it costs you or if it is clean or not.

  Many speakers just should not be up there period.
