In PA, as in most states, you would have to disclose if there was a murder there, the property would be known as a stigmatized property. Many times even with a large price reduction, they don't sell.

i feel like i need to spill my feelings.
after lurking on the site, i realize my story is like many here.
the reason i am feeling nervous is that i have not broken the news to my parents yet about my inactivity as well as my standing as to what i think about this whole thing.
I don’t really plan to come out and tell them without them asking about it. So far, they seem to be avoiding the subject and we do a lot of chatting online. I am planning to just tell them when they ask. I just want to be prepared for when the time comes. I have my other sister coming to see me in May and she is pioneering, so a part of me wants to tell her ahead of time rather than springing it on her. That part I haven’t quite thought out enough.
My personal experience in life is that the least I tell others about myself and my business the better off I am.
Tell your family when it comes to this, "Let's go into the mining business together, you mine yours and I will mine mine."

to most of us here, the practise of shunning a relative who disagrees with the religion, or who chooses a different path, is utterly evil, repulsive and inhumane.. i will never forget the real life stories i have heard relating to the heartbreak and misery that this 'doctrine' brings to families all over the world.
but, what does it take to see through the councel to shun your own children, mother or father?

I agree whole heartedily, Paul spoke of them that would do this in the following verse, but note what we should do to them in verse 5

i got this in an email today and it came at just the right time.
some days the pain we experience from our loved ones shunning us simply because we have chosen a different spiritual path can be excrutiating.

Funny isn't it? They can shun others who opt not to believe their way but couldn't see it if a Catholic or Protestant did it to them while they were studying with the JW's. Double standard.

When I was 11 on Good Friday, I was playing with a candle on a wooden end table, I fell asleep, woke up 3 hours later with my bed, floor, ceiling on fire. I had 30 smoke bombs go off in a bag, the fireman said I should have died at least 1 hour earlier then when I woke up.
I hate burning candles to this day, love the look and smell but a bit paranoid when it comes to bed time.
