had a new to me explanation of something i've questioned about matt 24:45-47. i, along with some here, wondered why the "slave" in matthew is singular when the wtbts says it has to be a "class" because no one person could live long enough to be the slave.

personally, i've wondered why it couldn't be each person individually, but the d.o.

says there is precedent.

It is a man made safety net to change course, teachings, policies whenever they want with an approval from the ones who dont want to think for themselves and lack faith that God can teach one through His Holy Spirit, both the leaders and followers love the false teaching.

Funny Babel means confusions and yet Christ when asked what the greatest of the commandments responded the same way,

Then telling the scribe, he said "You are not far off from the Kingdom of God"

Simple isnt, religion and power hungry men have confused and distorted God's Word to their own gratification.

I dont ever remember reading of elders school in the Bible, oh that is right the Bibles says

Hebrews 8:10-13

10 “‘For this is the covenant that I shall covenant with the house of Israel after those days,’ says Jehovah. ‘I will put my laws in their mind, and in their hearts I shall write them. And I will become their God, and they themselves will become my people.

11 “‘And they will by no means teach each one his fellow citizen and each one his brother, saying: “Know Jehovah!” For they will all know me, from [the] least one to [the] greatest one of them. 12 For I shall be merciful to their unrighteous deeds, and I shall by no means call their sins to mind anymore.’”

13 In his saying “a new [covenant]” he has made the former one obsolete. Now that which is made obsolete and growing old is near to vanishing away.

Does Fading from the Borg Lead to Deceit in Other Walks of Life?

please, please remember i am asking a question, not stating a fact.. .

there appears to be many advantages to fading out of the 'truth' as opposed to a full blown "i don't believe it and i'm out of here regardless of consequences'' policy.. reading others postings and experiences here and my own local experiences i can truly see why many do so.

i remember during the later stages of my still attending meetings talking to a couple who had stopped going to meetings a few years before.

Within all of us we have the propensity to be deceitful to ourselves and others, whenever we get into a habit to be deceitful to get our own way and if we THINK it worked, there is a danger of it becoming an integral part of our personality, then as we all have seen it with others and perhaps ourselves.

The only one being deceived is us or as Paul said in partial quote "Deceiving OURSELVES with false reasoning".

Like the old saying goes, "You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time"

As Christ said, "The truth will set you free" Not lying or deceitfulness

well, it's that time of the year again!!!.

the november the 1st watchtower is demanding money from the r and f and in no uncertain terms makes it clear that no matter how poor they are they should be giving their money to one of the richest companys in brooklyn, the watchtower bible and tract society!!.

the 'inspiring' article on page 17 is entitled:.

Paul said men would rise and teach twisted or false teachings to get your money

after the sunday culttower study is over, everyone will be expected to preach because the end is soooooooo close!.

I believe that the CO comments are probably totally true, think about it and especially ex elders, MS and pioneers who dealt with the CO's on a more regular basis,

How many times did you see and hear of changing policies, rules of conduct, procedures with each changing of the guard?

So much for we shall all speak in agreement as Paul said to the Corinthians, I see this happening but not true, I also see it happening and it being true as perhaps one rogue CO jumping the gun, remember a CO is just an elder like so many other elders who couldn't keep their mouths shut when it counted.
