Real good question and observation, not many from other parts of the world and yet the Bible says that they WILL come from every nation, tribe, tongue and so forth. Just another good point to discuss with any JW who wants to be honest.

a couple of jw friends came yo visit us today and we had dinner together.. at some stage in the conversation, i said that i do understand that an increasing number of jws from developing countries take emblems at memorials because, if we consider that europe and the us compose, together, about 700 million people, there is no good reason why nearly the whole lot of the little flock should be chosen from one tenth of humankind.
it is therefore all too normal that jws from third world counties think that they should have their fair share since jehovah id not partial.
the husband listened attentively and agreed but his wife probably found that we were engaging on a slippery ground and she shortened the visit.

....yes, believe it or not, i do have to sit in on a full meeting on sunday at the local kingdom hall, and do a report on how they run their services.
i do have a few questions: 1. what id considered approbate dress for females (i will have 2 females with me) 1a.
do i have to shave my beard to 'blend in' 2. normally to church, i have a brief case with note pads and my bible....is that a tad too much to carry into a hall?
Go in a dirty and poor looking as possible and see what kind of welcome and greetings you get, it would be interesting to see if they sterotype you in what Christ and James condemned.

do any of you find it weird that a lot of the ex jw's here and at other sites are in there 30's??.
it's like the jw's have lost a whole generation..
It is like two people working in the same company that is showing huge signs of crumbling
One person is getting ready to retire, the other a younger one can find a new job.
The one close to retirement hangs on to the end, hoping to get the benefits that they WORKED all their lives for, the other sees the writing on the wall and finds a new job.

did anyone see the information on a recent watchtower study article (w-07 0/01, p. 30, 16) in which a witness who quitted his job and started selling ice cream on the streets in order to have more time to preach, is presented as a good example?
i found it extremely offensive and asked myself: are they really serious or is this joke?
but the worst part is that no one else in the hall seemed to find it offensive, with the exception of a ministerial servant who privately told me it was an act of disrespect on the part of the society.
What will he do this winter?

i just cant understand why the watchtower still holds to this convention from 1933, that millions now living will never die.my nan was born in 1925 and shes in her late 80s.so who was the watchtower refering to when they said that they would never die.it coudnt have been people who were middle aged back then or older.and i cant believe they were just talking to people between the ages of 7-20 or so either that wouldnt fit the " millions " hype.yet its still refered to today in meetings and in the revelation book as a very important event.
You can either believe God or man,
Deut 18:20-22
20 “‘However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die. 21 And in case you should say in your heart: “How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?” 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened at him.’
Fear of man is what lays a snare.

A faithful JW allowed his son to hang out with friends who were worldly.
Why would that faithful JW be used as a good example. The moral is to be friends with the world, you never know
Real good point, flawed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
